Beautiful home on the ocean on private lane north of Yachats. 2 bedroom home with 2 baths, each with showers. Each bedroom has a queen bed. Magnificent views of the ocean from bedrooms and living areas. Easy beach access in front of house during the spring/summer months. Winter months beach access is approximately one mile drive. Lovely gas log fireplace to enjoy cozy evenings. Limit 4 people. Winter months steps are not available. Now with WIFI. No dogs please.

Stayed for 7 days in March, 2013 We were really disappointed that the stairs to the beach were not in place, no warning, the mattresses are getting old, there needs to be a large fry pan with a flat bottom. The garage door worked fine this time. The driveway needs to be plowed flat, the holes keep getting bigger and deeperOtherwise another great trip !!! Sorry about the steps to the beach, we do mention that on the web site that they are not available during the winter months. The owner always brings them up to prevent damage to the very expensive stairs during winter. We will let the owners know about the mattresses and there are plenty of fry pans there, there is a large one, maybe you missed it? Thanks for your observations! However, the small gravel road is a major mess . . . if you have a truck, it shouldn't be an issue . . but w/a normal car/sedan . . very difficult to get up & down the "street". The view has not changed from our last visit . . . very awesome & we had 2 beautiful sunshiny days . . was awesome!! I think it would be more helpful for TV viewing - to know what channels are what . . . the "guide" left on TV from 2011 doesn't match up very well . . . hard to know what you get & what you don't get. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2012 We stayed at Payn House for a week in mid-July and enjoyed every minute of our stay. We had varied weather throughout our stay--everything from rain, to fog, to a hot sunny day. The house is such that you are comfortable indoors as well as outdoors. One morning we saw a seal and shortly after a whale. We've seen whales before but had to be way out in the ocean in Hawaii. Here, just in front of you, not far offshore. Also interesting to watch the birds and rabbits. One of the best thing about Payn House is their very easy access to the beach/sand. Daily walks exploring the ocean shore were soothing with very little foot traffic from others. So peaceful and quiet. Exactly what we were looking forward to and were not disappointed. We even got to see a whale from our porch. Directions to the house were incorrect and no street sign was available. Other than that our stay was magnificent. It was stormy a good deal of the time we were there but we stayed by the fire and watched the storms. Some roads were closed but the rental agency called us to let us know so that we came in on a road that was open. Some of the furniture was 'antique' looking and there were lots of nicknacks around so we spent half the time worrying that our 5 yr old would break something. The check in/check out process was so easy and it was nice to show up at the property and have it clean and ready to go so all we had to do was bring out stuff in and hit the beach. Carpets not as clean this time, along with the upholstry. More dogs mean more cleaning. Key locks want to keep the key.Best view ever. Whales feeding just off shore. At least 2 rabbits still live in the bush in front of the house. Big waves, no seals this time, no sharks. The house stood up to the high winds again. Tossed the deck furniture around, but everything held up. Bedroom screens really rattled, making alot of noise all night.The deck furniture needs to be improved, along with access to the barbeque, for good days. THe big comfortable reclines have a tendancy to get stuck in the reclined position.
