Fantastic Vacation!! Tymrak Family Get Away from Jourdanton, Stayed for 0 days in January, 2013 We had a family vacation and everyone loved the condo. There was room for everyone and the best part was the kitchen dining area. There was plenty of room for all of us to cook and eat together as a group. I would definitely stay hare again!! |

Spring Vacation Amy Amdur aamdur@aol.com from Chicago, Stayed for 0 days in March, 2012 We had a great time at Base Camp 492. Looked just like on line photos. Very spacious. Great kitchen. Could not get speakers to work for music...and upstairs tv did not get all channels which frustrated my 7 year old. Hot tub great. Good location..but ski in ski out limited to advanced skiers, not little kids. Problem with hot tub immediately handled by managment. Loved the size of the unit, even came with a humidifier. |

Our stay in Winterpark was a good experience Maria from Base Camo 492, Stayed for 0 days in January, 2010 WInterpark, as a resort is nice and pleasant, generally everyone friendly. The rental company of Basecamp 492 , WInterpark Lodging Company, was giving us very nice service. The house is starting to run down a little bit, compared to the unit we had last year (#470) The ski school for the children is excellent!!! We had four happy little skiers, who loved evrything and learned a lot. They went to scholl for 6 days and we are very pleased with the results. The day care was horrific. By far the worst we ever have encountered. We paid for 4 days, but had the child there for 2 1/2. The children NEVER were taken outside, although we were told to buy goggles and provided snow suit etc. On the contrary, the child seemed to have been put to sleep the whole time and almost seemed tranquilized. The resort HAS to do some improvement there. We cannot recommend the place to anyone. Untrained, unfriendly personnel, truly incredible. Just to note, the little girl goes to a Montessori nursery school at home and does not have a bit of a problem, she loves to go. It is not the spoiled child syndrome, in case this is what the head of the day care will comment. It is not good for the resort to offer such a truly very bad experience. We will not need this service any more next year, as we will be ready to send all to ski scholl, so we do consider to return. If we had another little one we certainly would not!! Maria Abel Property Manager Response: Maria, Thank you for taking the time to share your good experience (and bad experience with daycare at the resort). I have sent your comments to the head of the resort and of the entire ski school and day care operations and will post comments when I get their response. We have not heard that before, so I'm hoping it is an exception to the rule. There was very cold weather when you were here and I'm wondering if that's why they didn't take them outside. We hope you'll return to Winter Park again and we'd love to host you. Sarah |

Great Slopeside Condo dave bitter from Charlotte, NC, Stayed for 0 days in April, 2009 This is a beatiful townhome slopeside to Winter Park. This is definitely not ski -in/ski-out. All of the furnishings were fantastic and we had enough room to serve an Easter dinner to 24 people. Would have liked to have seen some board games and the like to entertain the kids, they liked Guitar Hero PS2 the parents were not as big of fans. Solve the access to the ski corridor problem and we would be back in a heartbeat, otherwise its a tough sell when you can get better access albeit not quite as upscale right next door at Iron Horse for a considerable discount. If you come to ski.... Property Manager Response: Thank you for the review. We'll recommend to the owners that they get more board games. We hope to have you again in the future! |

Beautiful Base Camp Condo Anon from Western New York, Stayed for 0 days in February, 2009 Great home. Beautifully decorated and appointed, with lots of room for everyone (we were two families of 4 staying together). There were a few minor problems with appliances, etc. although the property maintenance company was very responsive and fixed them quickly. My only criticism: "ski-in/ski-out" does not fairly represent the location of this property. There is a 5 minute walk plus three flights of stairs to get to and from the slopes. We probably would have rented it anyway (as there are not many non-hotel options close to the mountainfor a large group, but it would be fairer to describe the property as "walk-in/walk out." Of course, Winter Park and Mary Jane are spectacular! |

Spacious, Upscale & Convenient Town-home Carol Bruce from Lilburn, Georgia, Stayed for 0 days in December, 2008 What a spectacular, new three-story townhome!A "must" to enjoy! We have skied at 9 different areas out west, and this by far topped them all. The size was perfect in accommodating our group of 3 families - offering both comfort and privacy. The decor is very tasteful - granite countertops, rustic harwoods, gourmet kitchen, tuscan tiled baths, stone fire places and leather sofas - which make for a warm and inviting stay. The beds were plush and comfortable, and the room with 2 bunk beds was perfect for the teens (as was the mini media room). We had many fun times gathered around the large kitchen table and island bar, eating big breakfasts cooked on the Wolfe range, or playing cards at night. We enjoyed relaxing in the steamy, private hot tub. Winter Park was a great ski resort for all of us, which included advanced skiers and new snow bunnies. Base Camp #492 location makes for an easy ski-in/ski-out for intermediate skiers, and our beginners had a mere 200ft walk to cut through above the ski store to hit the slopes (some chose to store their skiis there overnight). The shuttle bus also is very convenient and ran on time. The staff of Winter Park Lodging by Owner are incredibly attentive, professional and helpful and ensured that we had the wonderful trip of our dreams! |
