Peaceful retreat yet close to the action! Green Family from kansas City, Stayed for 0 days in March, 2013 Everything was lovely! The house was clean ad stocked well. We loved the position of the house. It felt like we were in the middle of the woods and yet we were close to the town and ski resort. The foxes visited us daily while we sat in the hot tub. This was a relaxing break for adults and teenage boys alike. |

Great Lil' Hidden Gem! Beth from Frisco, CO, Stayed for 0 days in November, 2012 Took my boyfriend here for his birthday. We loved this property! Location is close enough to the slopes but tucked away in a nice spot. We enjoyed the foxes that came to visit us daily. Kitchen was nicely stocked and ready to cook in. Some minor maintenance issues with certain lights not working and one set of window coverings not working but other than that we really enjoyed our stay. The hot tub over looked a beautiful wooded area. I'd highly recommend this property. Felt like we were in our own secluded wooded wonderland. Wasn't able to access the garage however because they didn't plow the driveway and my car is very low to the ground. The folks at the lodging company were very helpful and accommodating for our early check in. Oh and the fireplace was so warm and toasty! Beautiful views form every angle. |

Total Relaxation Shawny4u from Madison, WI, Stayed for 0 days in April, 2012 We stayed at Snowshoe house the first week of april. We are not skiers , but just wanted some relaxing time up in the mountains. The hot tub was fantastic and we used it every morning, as you kind of have get up early since the sun is glaring at you over the mountains at 6:30 am. We did see the fox as well right off the back deck one morning while in the hot tub. We named him Roger. Only issues were the lack of a shade that blocks the sun in the bedroom and small bathroom. Overall would love to come back in the future. |

Had a wonderful stay! Chuck from Houston, TX, Stayed for 0 days in January, 2012 My wife and I stayed at the Snowshoe House for our honeymoon, and we had a fantastic time. I cannot say enough about the floor to ceiling, wall to wall windows! The view was wonderful, and even though you're in a neighborhood with other houses you'd never know it - the trees and wilderness outside the windows keeps everything private and beautiful. We also really enjoyed the hot tub, the outdoor grill, and the convenience of the gas fireplace. The front door of this house is literally about 30 yards from the shuttle stop that takes you to Winter Park Ski Resort. While there are two bathrooms, there is only one shower so groups of 6 or more would probably need to plan accordingly. The kitchen is very well appointed, but a little small so cooking large meals for big groups might be a little difficult at times. Also, the lighting upstairs may seem a bit... odd. There is only one private bedroom, but there is plenty of room to sleep others. And no matter where you are in the house, everyone gets to enjoy the view of the continental divide! In all, the house is charming even in its quirks. We had a great time, and would highly recommend this to anyone as a place to stay for a romantic getaway or a group ski vacation. P.S. - The white fox that they say visits the house is definitely real! He came right up onto the back porch on the first night we were there! |

Relaxing in nature Colorado Gal from Colorado Springs, CO, Stayed for 0 days in August, 2011 House is great way to visit with family. The great room and kitchen are large enough for a good sized group. Went to sleep 'under a full moon' looking at the silhouette of fir and aspen trees. The large windows make you feel like you are in a tree house. |

Easy place to stay Mountain Lover from Denver, CO, Stayed for 0 days in August, 2011 We enjoyed our time in Winter Park. Snow shoe house met our needs for location, amenities (great hot tub, den and porch for relaxing) and price. They need to restock the house with new mattresses and replace the blinds in the master bedroom for sleeping comfort. Overall the house is set up great but the carpet is also over due for replacement. |

Great location Katepaul from Superior, CO, Stayed for 0 days in July, 2011 Like many cabins in the mountains, this one is designed for many occupants in a small space using portable room dividers, etc. If one agrees with the pricipals of Feng Shui or Vastu, this house needs improvement, or the flow was choppy. I had a hard time staying cool at night finding the downstairs sofa the most comfortable bed in the house! Enjoyed the birds coming to the feeders recently filled it seemed, through the huge picture glass windows. And enjoyed walking with my dog through the neighborhood and to downtown Winter Park. |

Great location, view, and value Mardi Gras Getaway from New Orleans, LA, Stayed for 0 days in March, 2011 We received very detailed directions for getting to the house as well as how to access the lock. Such a sinch to get in and since it was pretty late when we arrived, that was a bonus. We've been skiing at Winter Park for 3 years (and have used Winter Park Lodging all 3 years) and the experience has always been easy and the company is always accessible with questions. This was the first year that we stayed off property in the town of Winter Park so we weren't sure what to expect. Best part of the stay was by far, the hot tub! Having a hot tub to ourselves outside with a wooded / semi-private view was outstanding and we used it every night. My husband and I have 2 teenagers and an 11 year old so with all of the beds, they had plenty to choose from and everyone was happy. The house had plenty of seating and room for everyone and by splitting showers between night and morning, we never ran out of hot water. The downside is that the house was very hot in the morning. The morning sun hits the side of the house with all the windows and it can be sweltering upstairs by 7:00am. We were able to open the sliding doors and windows up stairs and down stairs to cool down but I'm not sure how it would be in the summer months when it isn't 20 degrees outside to help cool the house. We skiied at Winter Park every day and were out of the house by 8:00 and usually home by 5:00. Perfect for relaxing, using the hot tub, and cooking dinner. They had all of the normal pots / pans we needed to prepare meals which was a plus so we could save some money. All in all, it is a cute and roomy house in a cute little part of town. I would recommend this house to anyone who doesn't mind sleeping in open areas (only the Master has a seperate room) and has a lot of people. If we come back to Winter Park again for our ski vacation, we'll definitely be renting this house again. |

My Dream Rental mj from boulder, Stayed for 0 days in April, 2010 One word: unbelievable. Everything about our experience with Winter Park Lodging Company and at the Snowshoe House was phenomenal. WPLC made the logistics very easy and were willing to work with us to help make our stay just perfect. And I cannot say enough about the property itself. Absolutely breathtaking. Very peaceful, very private, very functional. I could have stayed there forever! My favorite things: the hot tub, the windows, the master bedroom - extremely magical and treehouse-esque. Rent it. You won't regret it. |

Great besides one minor issue SiBaby10 from Denver, Colorado, Stayed for 0 days in January, 2010 There really was minimal interaction between the WPLC people and I. Which was fine. We had issues with the gabage desposal and called but the issue wasn't repaired before we left so it was kind of a hassle. also, the main bedroom upstairs was freezing cold. Besides that, everything else was great. My friends and I had a great time and enjoyed the property very much. The Snowshoe house is located in a very convenient place not far from the resort at all. The hot tub was great. Property Manager Response: Thank you for the review. We have fixed the disposal so please come back and all will be in working order. We have more clearly posted signs by the bedroom thermostat so guests can see how to turn up the heat if they are chilly. See you soon! |

Snowshoe House Awesome Windows grace87944 from Denver, Stayed for 0 days in December, 2009 This home has a dramatic view of the woods by day and exceptional view of the stars by night. The kitchen was well stocked with all your cooking and baking needs and I cannot think of one item that was not there with exception of a rolling pin. The efficient gas fireplace will warm you in a hurry and we turned it off after only a few minutes. The bedroom arrangement is ok but would be nice if there were at least two bedrooms. Sheets were clean. I saw NO sign of bugs anywhere in this place which surprised me. The bathrooms were small, and the old carpet should be removed around the tub, sink, etc as it is rotting. Overall, we were very pleased with this gorgeous property. The pictures listed do not do this property justice. To top it off, The Property Management Team was incredible. We will do Snowshoe again. |

Great Stay!!! murffbunch from Houston TX, Stayed for 0 days in December, 2009 The pictures really don't do this house justice! It was a wonderful house and very comfortable! My kids had a great time playing in the back in all of the snow! I really didn't know what to expect, but I was pleasently surprised! There is also a fox that likes to come and visit guests at this house. All though he kept his distance, he hung around a lot so that we could "Oooo and Awww" at him! I think the only small complaint that I would have is that the one closed off bedroom upstairs can get pretty chilly at night. It took us a while to figure out how to balance the heat. No big deal though. We had a fabulous vacation, and would come back to the Snowshoe house again! |

We loved it! Green Apple from Iowa, Stayed for 0 days in July, 2009 We have great memories of sitting on the patio sipping tea, playing games at the big table, taking turns fixing meals in the efficient little kitchen, relaxing and reading in the sunny sitting room, and walking downtown for a little shopping. There was always something going on if you wanted music or art. Snowshoe House has plenty of little nooks for twosomes to have a little privacy. The wireless internet helped the kids stay connected. We took several enjoyable day trips to RMNP, the hot springs, and Winter Park Resort. |

Great Retreat Bob from Austin from Austin, Texas, Stayed for 0 days in November, 2008 This was a wonderful location to enjoy Winter Park from. We drove from Austin to arrive to a fresh and clean home with plenty of space. Our stay was pleasant and conveniently located in Winter Park which allowed us to venture to nearby Fraser and up to Grand Lake. I would recommend anyone who enjoys privacy and comfort to try this spot. Great people to work with on the Property Management Team as well. |
