pretty good value for the money Raymond C. from Richmond Hill, ON recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in March, 2012 It's not advertised, but this is almost a ski-in/out location. A small 'flat' trail leads from the across the street from the front entrance to the Backcomb base (Wizard express lift). On the way base, there is a small trail that from the the slopside Woodrun lodge to Spearhead (the street where Wildwood is on) 150-200m away from Wildwood. You can then choose to walk the 150m-200m down the street or walk 20m across the street to beside the bus-top, and enter another narrow trail (spearhead trail) on which you can ski back to the Wildwood front entrance - however, don't do this trial if you're a green skiier; it's a very narrow trail....The other good thing is that there's shuttle bus stop (#5) right in front of the lodge's entrance, if you don't want to walk the 10mins to the Whistler village. The bus was unreliable as it does not arrive at equal intervals. In some cases, you may have to wait 20 minutes to a half hour. The bathrooms and the living area were not very clean at all. The pool was nice and the bathrooms off of the pool area were very clean. We were tempted to shower there instead of in our unit. We had the most amazing view of the mountains. I was right ousite the busstop Claus J. from Kirkland, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in December, 2010 I don't like that i have to clean the glasses and the rest off the service before i can use it, it was dirty. The knifes could not cut anything and there was no electric handmixer no pans for the oven, nothing to put hot things on. There is barely room for 6 people diffcult to get around. One off the beds upstaires was missing 2 wheels so we could not use one off them. The sliding doors could not close. Ask to get it fixed 3 times nothing happend. A Summer Stay in Whistler for a family of 4 - boys of 9 and 11 years Emma C. from Chipperfield, Hertfordshire recommends this property. The accommodation was well situated, just behind the Four Seasons, however, a car was useful for picking up groceries etc. We loved Whistler in the Summer - kayaking the River of Golden Dreams, a drive/walk to Nairn Falls, Zip-lining and the white water rafting made it a holiday to remember. It was great to relax and use the pool and the hot tub, though not all the jets in the hot tub were functioning. It was also quiet so we were able to get plenty of sleep. Personally I prefer firmer beds. Also, I would have preferred if there had been a vacuum cleaner in the apartment and an iron and ironing board in the apartment or at least available from reception (one of the men in our group wanted to iron his shirts!). There were 2 bathrooms but one was in the master bedroom so it made it somewhat less accessable than if it was open to everyone. It was 80 to 90 degrees the weekend we stayed and there was no air conditioning at all and just a little bitty ceiling fan way up by the loft that didn't do anything. The location was considerably good though if you don't mind going on a little walk. It's right across from the path that walks into the upper village and then you go to whistler village from there, very convenient! The staff was very helpful and we were able to leave the car parked there for the day even after we checked out. Wildwood - Best location & Value @Whistler Jeffrey B. from West Linn, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in March, 2008 We have been coming back to Wildwood for 10 years now, this was probably my 5th visit. Great location, ski in & out possible, close to action but not in the middle of the action. Close to the hoity toity resorts but not hoity toity. Great place for regular folks who enjoy skiing a great mountain, sitting in the hot tub with new friends and having fun when they are done.
