Best stay ever!
yeong rae c. from burnaby, BC recommends this property.
Stayed for 2 days in August, 2014
First off, it was a very convenient location. everything from village to grocery were all near by of 5min walking distance. I really loved the place, everything was clean and cozy with a modern appliance as well as our own hot tub in the balcony. I would definitely comeback again this year winter or next year. I would only hope that Trevor come up with the loyalty program with discounts or some other benefits for the frequent visitor.I would highly recommend this place to others!

A Fine Place
A guest from Tacoma, WA recommends this property.
Stayed for 4 days in August, 2014
This served as the home base for a small family reunion the first week in August and was just right for that purpose. The only negative for us involved the number of stairs which was a bit of a challenge for us older folk. Nevertheless, that was OK because it provided good exercise. All in all, a fine place.

we were very satisfied with both the townhouse and the location. Trevor was super helpful and professional. My only negative comment would be the 10am checkout. I think 11am is a bit more reasonable.

Great unit.Really appreciated that more than the basics were available in the suite. We actually could could proper meals and serve them. It was great to have adequate numbers of plates and forks. Location is close to market and main walking path through Whistler Village, but a little long for walking to the lifts in ski-boots.

Very convenient. Clean, practical. Close to shuttle which brings you quickly to the mountain and the marketplace is just across the street. Everyday they came to see us to ensure everything was fine. Clean and well managed which is not the case of all units in Glaciers Reach. Excellent value for the price. Will not hesitate to come back at 61.

The shuttle is quick and easy I do take it with my three kids all of the time, no problem. (Market Place #5 comes every 10 minutes in the winter, the mountains are the next stop less than 5 minutes away)

Karen M. from Birmingham, a recommends this property.

We had a fantastic enjoyable stay here. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed for eating in on several occasions. The hot tub was a luxury that we all loved and used every night. The beds very comfortable and cosy. Quiet at night away from some of the noisy bars but not too far for a walk at night for a social evening.

A brilliant choice for somewhere to stay in Whistler village. The property was very clean and fully equipped with everything you could possibly need for a fabulous holiday. The photos do not do it justice and need updating as it is much more modern than shown. Trevor & staff were brilliant start to finish as gave us lots of advice on the area from lift passes to transfers and resturants.

Glacier Reach unit #61
Danielle D. from Vancouver, BC recommends this property.
Stayed for 5 days in December, 2013
We Stayed in unit #61 and from the moment we walked into the complex we knew we had booked a winner. The complex was very well maintained, very clean and very quiet. The manager was very helpful and welcoming when I called to let him know we had arrived. The best location, straight across the road is twhistler village where you can get all necessities... IGA, BC liquor, TAG Adventures and of course the gondolas :) The hot tub was definatly an extra touch to the apartment, along with our cosy little fire place. The TV was brand new as was the downstairs couch. Having a kitchen in our apartment was so good and felt very homely, had all the utensils and the big bonus a dishwasher, also not having to eat out at every meal. You definatly don't need a car, so we booked a return trip with epic tours ($35 round trip) they where also very professional. I can't wait to recommend glacier reach & I thank them for hosting us.

Great location, everything is pretty much walking distance if your plan is to only hang around whistler village/lifts. It was pouring rain most of our stay, so if walking in rain isn't possible, cabs were less than 5 dollars. Loved the location, hot tub and other amenities were well maintained. Over all it was a great stay!

The condo was nice and clean and a perfect location to catch the bus for Tough Mudder or to go to the village. Hot tub was wonderful. Instructions were clear on how to get into condo. The only complaint would be that the parking stalls were very small and I have a small car. Other than that this was great!

Great stay at Glaciers Reach
A guest from Toronto, Ontario recommends this property.
Stayed for 7 days in March, 2013
We spent 7 nights at Glacier's Reach during March Break with our two daughters. It was a great stay and we would recommend the unit. Trevor was very helpful and responsive in advance. We had no problems so we didn't need to contact him during stay, although we got the impression he would be available on a 24 hour basis. Good location that is convenient to and within walking distance of the main village and Whistler lifts. Location and unit is very good value for location and cost. Grocery store, drug store, candy store and liquor store across the street, as well as skating rink in Olympic Medal Plaza - something for everyone! Unit was comfortable and clean, and quieter than we expected, which was an added bonus! Great views of the mountain from the master bedroom deck. Only negative was that internet service was incredibly slow and should be replaced with high speed internet. We tried to work from the unit but webpages would not load and kept timing out. We had to go to Starbucks across the street to get useful internet service.

A guest from Maple Ridge, BC recommends this property.
Stayed for 2 days in August, 2012
The only negative I would say is that the property management company needs to change the way they give the information to the client as far as after the condo is booked. When I phoned to say we had not received the email, the property management company said they had been having problems with emails going to Shaw. We were not able to receive the email for the door code, check-in/out, and where to park. We had to phone a few times to get the information, even up to the point of arrival. Other than that, I would recommend this place.

Review of Glacier's Reach Unit 61
A guest from Lake Stevens, WA recommends this property.
Stayed for 4 days in March, 2012
We stayed in unit 61 at Glacier's Reach in Whistler over spring break. The property management company was good to deal with. This unit has been nicely updated and well maintained. I'd read on some other sites that noise was an issue for other guests in the building, but we did not have any noise problems at all. We also enjoyd our private hottub which was on the second level so it was private from the other hottubs. My children swam in the pool and had fun. The unit was nice and clean when we arrived. We were also impressed with the nice amount of storage space and spot for ski gear at the bottom of the stairs. The only reason that I rated the property's location a 4 instead of a 5 was because it was a bit of a walk to the mountain and far side of the Village since the property is on the end of the Village. In general, it is close to everything else. Also, the only reason I gave the property a 3 for general condition was because the only thing that was a bit dissappointing was the master and second bedrooms. The beds were small and the mattresses were not very comfortable. Also, the quality of the bed linens, although clean and not completely awful, could be better quality, softer, nicer. I think that bed and linen quality is important because, for me, it can make a vacation, so that's why I gave it a 3. Other than that, the bathrooms were nicely updated and the kitchen was nicely updated with plenty of dishes, etc. We have children, so having two rooms and two bathrooms, a full kitchen and washer/dryer was nice for us. I would definitely stay in one of these units again and would recommend it to other people.

Flooded unit, intimitdating unprofessional security guard
A guest from Richmond, BC does not recommend this property.
Stayed for 3 days in September, 2011
The units were nice, and in a great location. The second night our unit flooded due to a plumbing problem. The next morning the property manager asked if we would like to move units, at this point we were settled and opted out because we only had one more night. Later that day the unit started to smell like garbage from the flooding. No discount was given on the unit. Worse than that was the security guard who harrassed us for going to our vehicles at 9pm. At 10:15pm we were asked to get out of our personal hottub. I would not recommend this complex to anyone. The last thing any guest wants is to be treated poorly by staff of a unit you are paying good money to stay in.

Property Manager Response:
Response from Whistler Vacations
I had received several phone calls in the middle of the night as a result of this stay. First a suspicious flood that originated from the third floor toilet and secondly from our security company and thirdly from the RCMP. I persuaded security not to evict the guests but the excessive noise did result in the owner of the home getting a $100 fine which I in turn charged back to the guest. This system holds the owner, manager and the guest accountable and informed about guest related issues and it seems to work well but inevitably guests that cause issues usually have issues with the system. When I arrived at the home at 8:30 am to deal with the flood with several fans, tools and dehumidifier the guests remained in their beds. I mitigated the flood as best as I could and asked if the guests would like to move to a different home for their last night but they declined. The guest did ask for compensation, had their not been any noise issues or had the cause of the flood been less suspicious then I would have bent over back wards to accommodate them or any guest but after a night of not sleeping and now facing the aftermath of a very suspicious flood I was polite but I did not offer any compensation. I hope that anyone reading these reviews will consider that my company has well over 500 guest reviews and a 4.5 star guest satisfaction rating.Trevor Chelswick (owner and manager since 1999)

A guest from Nanaimo, BC recommends this property.
Stayed for 4 days in August, 2011
A hot tub was awesome, readily hot-hot (I like) with good water quality when we arrived just like wanted to be. kitchen, eating, and living space are efficient enough. I also appreciated locked under ground parking. location is quite convenient but tricky to find the room for first timers even we were provided good instruction from Trevor. I witnessed other two parties having problem to find rooms ending up to call their room?s owners. Inside of room layout is not a simple. it uses three floors from entranceto bedrooms so be aware if you have a lot of luggage to stair up. Two beds in second bedroom are stick together side by side because the room is impressively small. Night table sits at foot area of beds due to no space around head area. A master bed room is fabulous. it has good floor size, big sunny deck, full combo bath room. I could stay there forever. Location of room entrance is amused. It was most likely on neighbor's patio. There are their entrance( and our entrance), their hot tub, chairs and table in small space. In fact, people are naturally blocking our door while sitting there, having breeze , smoking and drinking on their?? patio. They, we, both side felt funnily awkward. There is NO major problem and was comfy place after all especially we got good summer deal,

Blinds dirty bent, no outside table on either deck, screen door missing from only opening in the master bdrm, BBQ, paid $34 US for rent of it and it was cheap table top model,..see above...King bed in twin sz rm needs warning for anyone over sz 14 to move around in..toaster only cooks one side, spoiled milk in frig upon arrival, frat party all night 1st nite in compound, had to call in 2nd night for 0300 pool party noise...mgmt woke us up from nap on 2nd day of 4 to ask if we were leaving early "cause they had someone coming in." REALY?! Couldn't use BBQ w/o melting deck cover or hottub cover so paid $34 to look at it for 3 days.

Comfortable and good location
A guest from a, WA recommends this property.
Stayed for 4 days in July, 2011
I liked the location. It was very close to the village. We walked everywhere so got a bit of a workout each dey. The condo had plenty of towels and extra pillows which we liked. The kitchen had all the basic cookware we needed. Our children loved the hot tub and swimming pool. The view from the balcony was fabulous. We've stayed at this property before and are likely to stay again in the future.

Perfect location. You don't need your car once it has been parked. The suite was very clean and the kitchen has everything you need. Even though property says 6, best with 4. The hide a bed in the living room is very uncomfortable. Other than that, everything is great. We will stay again.

I agree a sofa bed is not a good option. I replaced the mechanisim in this home about 6 months ago but it is still a sofa bed. If you have to use a sofa bed I suggest taking the mattress off and putting it on the floor. Trev

I have stayed at Glaciers Reach a few times, so I kind of knew what we were getting. The unit was VERY clean and in a good location. However the unit could use a little upgrading (TV, furnature). We were disappointed that when we arrived after a long day on the hill, the hot tub was nowhere near needed to be turned up. Coupled with the communal hot tub not working, it was too bad. That's the reason why we picked this unit. Overall, I'd go back...just would ask that the hot tub be turned up!

we are very happy with our recent stay at glaciers reach #61! great customer service began way before we even got to whistler. the reservation agents were very helpful and trevor was awesome! he allowed us a late checkout from the condo on our last day so we could ride! we had 4 adults in #61. i will say it was just a tad bit small for all of us but not to the point of being unpleasant. the place was spotless! had everything we needed with a fully stocked kitchen (cooked a yummy spaghetti dinner one night)! the private hot tub a nice addition. oh, and you also have a nice view of both mountains from the deck! very good location for the price! about a 15 minute walk thru the village to the gondola which wasn't bad...got our legs good and warmed up for the slopes :) wifi worked great! oh and we really liked the combo keypad entrance instead of having to keep up with keys for everybody. this condo really does have everything you could need! clean and a great location! would definitely recommend glaciers reach #61!!

Wonderful Winter Wonderland in Whistler @ Glacier's Reach
Holly S. from v, b recommends this property.
Stayed for 5 days in December, 2010
We had a fabulous stay at Glacier's Reach over the Christmas/NY's 2010 holiday. Although the rates were much higher than normal which forced six of us to squeeze into a two-bedroom (as opposed to a three-bedroom), our accomodations suited us just fine. I really appreciated having a washer/dryer in the unit. The sofa could have been larger so the normal four people could sit comfortably, but the hide-away bed was reasonably comfortable. The property manager - Trevor - was extremely helpful and eager to help when our internet connection didn't work and we called him to help at 8am. Overall - nice place to was quiet, warm and had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. We'll be back (but during a less expensive time).

we were there for our anniversary. Private hot tub, fireplace, view of the mountains helped to make it a worth while place. We went canoeing down the river of dreams and rode the peak to peak chair . I fall in love with whistler over and over again when I come up and this was a nice place to stay with easy acess to everything without being too noisy as inside the village can be some times. This place has alot of stairs and is not suitable for elderly or disabled.

Glaciers Reach - Great Location

Stayed for 5 days in August, 2010
We recently stayed in #61 at Glaciers Reach. There was 5 of us: 2 adults, 2-16 year olds and an 8 year old. The location was perfect; we had walking access to everything we needed. It was bigger than we expected and was stocked with things like paper towel, laundry detergent, dishwashing liguid etc. (didn't expect that). It was exceptionally quiet and clean. We ran in to 2 different representitives of Escapia and both were extremely friendly and helpful. We would definately book here again.

My only complaint would be not having maps/flyers of the Market Square available that show all of the store/restuarant locations available at the condo. Condo is the first place most peole go and then they wonder around aimlessly. Once we found a copy of this map it was a huge help moving around plus making meeting arrangements with out vacationers. Loved the binder with numbers and suggetions.

Had an awesome time altogether! The hot tub was waaay too hot, to the point where you couldn't get in the first night so we did have to use the hose on the balcony to cool it off :( Other than that though, it was super clean, easy to find and get to. We also didn't have to really check in, just drove to our place and everything was ready to go. This is my second time staying at glacier reach and it has been a blast both times. I would highly recommend this place for anyone visiting whistler and will definitely be coming back again!!

This place is in a great spot. About a 5 minute walk to the heart of the village, across the street from groceries and liquor store, and within walking distance or a 2 minute shuttle ride to the slopes. Had a private hot tub, full and equipped kitchen, and washer/dryer in unit. Trevor is also very helpful and a very easy guy to talk to. I RECOMMEND TO ANYONE!

Hi, we really enjoyed our stay at Unit #61 at Glaciers Reach. The town house was very cozy with an extremely well equipped kitchen. Just a couple of comments:-the room with the two twin beds is extremely cramped with two people staying in there, this will be a consideration for next time when we book an apartment-relating to the above, it would be useful to have some more clothes storage space and hangers, there was just enough room for 3-4 people, but certainly no more than that-it was great to have laundry facilities and a fire, however there was no clothes horse to dry clothes on in front of the fire. Not all clothes, especially ski thermals can go into a dryer, we therefore had to hang them on the backs of chairs which isn't ideal-a very minor point, but it would be good if there was a rubbish bin in the bedroom without the ensuiteOther than these minor points we had a great stay.
