Our guests appreciate the convenience of staying across from the Whistler Market Place which boasts; liquor and grocery stores, Starbucks, restaurants and several shops. All of our homes at Glaciers Reach are a ten minute walk or a free shuttle ride to the base of Whistler and Blackcomb mountains. Everything that Whistler Village offers is at your door step, along the picturesque, cobble-stoned village stroll.

Some of the recent upgrades to this two bedroom two bathroom townhome include; paint, carpet, mattresses, duvets and leather pull out couch. Other features include a BBQ, 32inch TV/DVD/cable, CD player, TV/DVD in master bedroom, air-conditioning, gas fire place, heated year round pool, shared sauna, free underground parking and high speed internet with Wi-Fi. This vacation home sleeps a maximum of six guests but four is recommended. The bedding consists of; a queen bed, two twins that can be joined to make a king upon request and a queen sofa bed. Horrendous Security Staff, But Otherwise Great Robert M. from Vancouver, BC recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in June, 2012 The location and property itself are great. My wife and I were sitting quietly in the hot tub at just after 11PM when suddenly the security guard started screaming and waving his flashlight in our faces. When we asked what he was doing, he was belligerent and incredibly rude, screaming :do you want to see the rules!" and being generally unbelievably hostile. I don't know if he'd spent the night dealing with rowdy guests or is simply profoundly unprofessional, but if I were the owner of one of these units and knew my guests were being treated this way, I'd have the strata counsel dismiss the security firm on the spot - a sad and totally unnecessary spoiler for an otherwise great spot we've been to many times. Especially I had two young kids so nice to be close to the downtown with a great kids park. Everything was great except for two things...All rooms are clean but the floor of the deck. It looked like it has not been cleaned for long time, and there are a couple beer cans left behind the hot tub.And check-in procedure is very very confusing. The map at the reception area shows P as the door to the underground parking lots. Not actual parking lot. There are no wording on the map, and no current location. It was very hard to understand. I saw pretty much everyone checking in looked confused and knocking on the reception door, which no one was there. I agree with other reviewers who said the hot tub is great and the minor annoyance of a few things broken is not a big deal (hair dryer mount, key hook, hand-held shower mount). The location is convenient and we found it to be quiet. The pool at the complex is fairly small, but adequate for a small family. It had all the comforts of home and the hot tub was great fun for my two kids. We did look for some board games or cards but couldn't find any on the one rainy day we were there. My husband thought the condo was directly IN the village but it's not, it's actually at the edge of the village so you have to walk a little to get to the 'action'. But I didn't mind that. And the best part was obviously the hot-tub.I would definitely come back!The only thing is the hot-tub was not getting hot enough. It was pretty warm the first night we got there. The shuttle to the lifts is very close by, runs regularly and is very quick. We were also within a 10-minute walk of fabulous cross-country and snowshoe trails. Parking was very convenient for this unit. My only disappointment was with the size and furnishings of the unit (which suggests it can accommodate 6 people.) Given the amount of money we paid, I expected more. The living/dining area was very small, the furniture was uncomfortable and the space could barely accommodate 4 people for an evening very comfortably. The bedrooms were also very small. There was very little cupboard space (nothing for ski jackets at the front door) and nowhere to stow mitts/hats etc.I think some small and relatively cheap changes would make this a much more comfortable unit. And again, if we had paid half the price for the unit, I would not complain.The hot tub was wonderful, the skiing and the weather were also wonderful. The people in all the shops in the Village, ski rentals, etc. were wonderfully helpful and welcoming. So, all in all, we did have a great week.I would also like to put in a special word about Trevor, the Manager. He gave us absolutely exceptional service. We had to call him a couple of times and he answered right away and made certain all our concerns were addressed very quickly. Which was true, from the moment we rented the unit 6 months ago. So huge kudos to Trevor for his availability and service which are the best I've ever received in a situation like this.Best wishes to you all for a highly successful 2010 Olympics. Repair problems A guest from Surprise, AZ does not recommend this property. Stayed for 4 days in August, 2009 DAY 1:Had 2pm check in. Arrived at 3pm. Trevor just starting to replace dishwasher. At 6pm asked him to leave so that we could prepare dinner. Returned at 8pm with parts. Dishwasher still not functioning. Then had to fix clogged drain in bathroom. No outdoor grill as advertised. Had to find one. Lock on front door not functioning. Made appt. with locksmith for 10am next day. One of us had to be there. Finally left almost 10pm. Our son helped him carry old washer down stairs. DAY2: Dishwasher leaking onto kitchen floor. Had to continually sop up with bath towels.Called Trevor. He asked our son to turn valve off under kitchen sink. Trevor came at 1pm. Worked until 2pm. Returned 2:45. Left 3:15. Throughout stay, water pressure in second bedroom shower was approx. 1/3 of what it should be. Stayed for 3 days in April, 2009 The townhouses were great (clean, comfy and convenient) my only complaint would have been that myself and a friend that got one of the other townhouses, we had asked to get 2 side by side or close together atleast and we were given 2 suites on opposite sides of the property (not knowing the #'s they were given didn't run in sequence).
