Stayed for 2 days in August, 2011 There isn't staff on duty after 5PM and when you finally do get someone on the phone to assist, they say they will tend to your needs, but never arrive. My husband slept on the floor 1 night because the additional bedding we required for our family was NEVER left in the room as originally requested. You are on your own with these guys folks. stolen bike--if you have nice stuff, don't stay here! A guest from Olympic Valley, CA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 30 days in June, 2007 I brought my brand new mountain bike to Whistler when I stayed at the Wildwood Lodge--since it was a new bike, I thought it would be the safest if I stored it in my room. As I was bringing it up, the receptionist advised me that I was not allowed to bring my bike into the room, there was a bike rack in the garage. I didn't feel safe about it, but as I didn't have a choice, I got TWO locks and locked it in the racks. Needless to say, someone cut one of the locks, left the rear wheel and cassette locked to the other lock, and took my bike. The Wildwood did nothing about it. Even more frustrating was when I was informing a different receptionist that my bike was stolen (not the one who had previously told me I couldn't bring my bike to my room), she said, "Oh, I would have told you to bring it to your room, it's not safe in the garage." So clearly, the staff knew about the problem, but still were advising people to lock their bikes up in the garage, where the combo to get in was the same as it had been six months earlier, as I found out when I checked my records. The fact that no one did anything to recompensate me for my stolen bike after they forced me to leave it in an unsafe area is extremely frustrating, and I would not recommend this company. Property Manager Response: Response from Peak to Green Accommodations Inc. INSURANCE!! Everyone should have it. We have locked doors, changing security codes, and bike locks. If someone is determined, they will steal anything. If you insure your car, why not your bike?
