Live and relax in the Bergian Cottage directly at the nature reserve. The Lerchenhof is from the 19th century and was used as farmstead for more than a century. It is located in the Hofschaft Töckelhausen, at the end of a cul-de-sac, only 2 km from the center of Wermelskirchen.
The 130 sq.m-large vacation apartment on the ground floor of the house was completed in 2007. It accommodates up to six people and is lovingly furnished in a mix of Mediterranean and Landhaus (cottage) styles. The large garden in southern orientation which belongs with the apartment is an inviting location for sunbathing and barbecues.
There is also a separate entrance (with door bell) to the apartment, and car parking spots in front of the house.
The bedrooms were done in natural, high-quality materials such as loam, oak boards, and sheep’s wool carpets. A three-door wardrobe in the first bedroom offers lots of space even for longer stays; the two-door wardrobes in the other two bedrooms contain three spacious clothes’ drawers. There is a separate door to the garden in the middle room.
The spacious living room is equipped with satellite TV, Playstation 2, DVD player and Surround Sound system. Visible timber frames and original floorboards of the house, which is more than 150 years old, add to its charme. A terrace door leads into the garden.
The modern kitchenette contains stove, baking oven, dishwasher, fridge, sink, electric kettle, and cooking and tableware for ten. The three kitchen windows look into the garden and the fields in the area.
Where bathing is concerned, there is a guest toilet and a bathroom with Mediterranean-style tiles next to the first bedroom. Besides toilet and washing basin, the bathroom also contains a shower with a glass enclosure, and a bathtub. Behind a divider wall, there are iron, ironing board, hair dryer, laundry basket, and extra storage space.
Terraces and Garden:
The apartment comes with a 500 sq.m-large garden in southern orientation, surrounded by a hawthorn hedge. It features two terraces for sunbathing or barbecues and enjoying a relaxing look at the sunset with a glass of wine.
