Wonderful views of the ocean can be easily seen from this very cute, recently remodeled home in Bayshore. Very easy four block walk to the beach. This home has three bedrooms and two baths, separate living room, large family room off kitchen with a woodstove. Everything on one level with easy access to home with very few steps. Master has a king bed, two other bedrooms have queens. Two baths, both with tubs, one off master suite. There is a fully equipped kitchen and new appliances. Convenient slider door off 2nd bedroom to deck, and an additional slider off the dining area with great views of the ocean. Master bedroom has built in window seat. New TV in den with with DVD and VCR. Single car garage and separate laundry room with full sized washer and dryer. 1 dog limit. Wifi, gas BBQ.

Rainy outside, sunny inside A guest from Philomath, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in February, 2013 We enjoyed this house for many years when our friend owned the house. And we still enjoy it after the new owners remodeled the house to add a sitting room, third bedroom, and a second bathroom. The house has a well-supplied kitchen--though some small sauce dishes would be nice for desserts. I guess one can play CDs on the DVD player, but we would enjoy using a simpler CD player. The view is great--a panoramic view of the ocean is available, and there is always something to view. Waldport offers good shopping in case one forgets something, and the Bridge Museum is a real asset to the town. We were sad to see that the bakery has closed. Great Ocean-View Getaway Nancy D. from West Columbia, SC recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in June, 2012 Renting this house sight unseen from the other side of the country (South Carolina), I was a bit nervous about what to expect. However, my fears were totally unjustified: the house was exactly as described, with ocean views, large and comfortable living areas, nice bedrooms, and lots of little extras (games, puzzles, deck, and even a nest with baby swallows under the eaves!). Waldport is a great central location for sightseeing in Oregon. We enjoyed the fireworks there on the 4th of July, the nearby Oregon Aquarium in Newport, the funky little town of Yachats, and many nearby state parks. We even took one overnight trip away from the house, traveling to Crater Lake and then on to Ashland, where we saw a fabulous production of As You Like It. Overall, I would highly recommend this rental. The only improvements I'd suggest are that a hair dryer be provided, and that future renters be made aware that getting to the beach is not as easy as the ad indicates, for anyone with even slight difficulties in walking. My friend, who suffers from arthritis, had a very difficult time maneuvering up and over the dunes. It would also be useful if a note with directions to the beach were left in the house; I had to search quite awhile to find the pathway. Thanks for a great time! They give first class service. My family and I enjoyed a wonderful and memorable week at the Scandia house. We have 4 kids and they really enjoyed this house. The house was spotlessly clean, well organized and quiet. While it is not an ocean front house, It has wonderful ocean views from almost every room and the beach is only a short walk away.
