This 3 bedroom (6 person max, 3 car max), 2-bathroom house has lots of extras. Its view is better than some beachfront homes (a telescope will make whale & ship watching fun for all). The queen beds in 2 of its bedrooms were new in 2006 and the twin beds in the other can be pushed together to make a king (sheets are provided). The kitchen is well equipped with everything needed to make a gourmet meal (new range w/ smooth top surface, Kitchen Aid mixer, spices, (4) hole toaster, All Clad dishwasher safe cookware, and coffee grinder.) In the evening watch a DVD on a Sony Grand Wega 50" TV (over 60 DVDs are provide at the house) or listen to your favorite CD or iPod on a Bose Wave music system. A walk on the beach can be done anytime. Easy beach access is only 1/2 a block away. On those rainy days play ping-pong on the table that is set up in the garage or there are games and puzzles galore. And don't forget Fido. This is a dog friendly house.

Loved the walk-in & park-in garage options. My husband would appreciate propane/gas grill rather than having to buy & use charcoal for bbq though. The property was huge-even a nice yard to play in! The polaroid camera is a special fun bonus so our dog or family could join the wall of fame there. I got the cutest pic of our little Midnight! This was our second year at the house and we have already reserved it for next summer. Our two dogs loved romping in the ocean everyday along with my grandsons and they don't seem to mind the cold water. Upon returning to the house, it is convenient to hose off the sand and have them dry off on the deck which can be secured. There is so much to do in the area and with just a little driving time, we went north and south along the coast exploring the options for activities. We love the area and look forward to our return. The furniture was kind of spartan,the main bdrm up stairs was very hard. I know, some like it that way, I do too,but not that hard. It is located three houses down from an easy access, short, beach trail. The upper deck has a gate to keep your dog upstairs. The kitchen is well equipped. The entertainment system is great. Lots of movies, cds, books/games, and a ping pong table. We had a great stay! It's close to the Oregon Coast Aquarium, Seal Rock, Devil's Punchbowl, crabbing, etc. Great Location!!! Nice view for watching the storms outside - had rain, wind, hail and even a little snow while we were there. House was roomy and comfortable.Only three of us instead of originally planned six were able to come. Would have run out of toilet paper if everyone would have come - as it was, we did run out in one bathroom - not enough supplied for the number of days we stayed. There was no Kleenex provided so we had to make a run to the store for that. Would suggest waste baskets in the bedrooms and it would be nice if the bathroom waste baskets had lids since you rent to people with dogs. My daughter was wanting a full length mirror in the bedrooms downstairs when she was changing. No WIFI which was missed but not essential - kept my daughter off the internet which was good.Would love to go back and stay again - just bring our own paper products so we don't have to go out to the store in the storm. Garage was a GREAT blessing in the stormy weather - although we couldn't find any remote for it, it was so nice to be able to load and unload the car out of the bad weather. Stayed for 7 days in September, 2010 This beautiful family home makes you feel welcome as soon as you enter the main upper level. There is easy access through an outer door into the garage and the lower two bedrooms and bath. My large lower bedroom was convenient for taking my dog in and out. The main level is only accessible by stairs. All the main living areas and master bedroom are upstairs. Both baths are accessible to all. The home and views are stunning, miles of beach just a short walk, yet close to town, neighborhood quiet and homes mostly upscale. Except for the many wonderful dog/family photos you would not know a dog had ever been there. The well prepared manuals were so helpful in describing the area and explaining everything in the house and it all worked! This is a prime tourist area on the central Oregon Coast. Newport, 14 miles north on Yaquina Bay, has a year around fishing fleet, Oregon Coast Aquarium, OSU's Marine Science Center, a performing arts center plus many restaurants and shops. Walk the bayfront and watch the boats coming in and out under the historic Yaquina bridge.
