Everything you would need in a house and more so ... with caveats Lee S. from Chicago, IL recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in August, 2012 House is great. Has everything you would need except for a few minuses: 1. The 'access to swimming pool' means 'Pay $5 extra per guest per day. No children allowed without supervising adult. Even if adult does not swim, it is still $5 per day. This text needs to be in every listing to warn guests that it will cost extra for the pool. #2. Furniture is not allowed to be moved without incurring a $100 fee if you do not put it exactly back where it was. #3 Be careful what you cook as you are not allowed to cook crabs in the house. #4. Extremely heavy dining chairs that are not easy for most people to move on the berber carpet. Young children and older adults may not be able to more these behemoths. Other than there small issues, the house is wonderful, though these items could be a deal breaker for some. Why you can't cook crabs in a house that is on the Oregon coast where there are a million crabs is beyond comprehension though... Property Manager Response: Response from Bayshore Rentals LLC The reason we ask guests not to cook crab in the house is because it causes a TERRIBLE smell through out the home that is impossible to get rid of. You would not want to rent a home that has recently had crab cooked in it. Even our local restaurants that serve crab cook it outside. Other local vacation rental agencies charge for the removal of the smell and the restoration of the home to its original condition. Charges can range as high as $250. There are local facilities available to cook crab because of this problem.The Bayshore Beach Club is a separate entity from our company, we offer the pool pass in the event a guest might like to use the pool. We advise you of the cost when you check in, there should be no surprises. Given the issues of your stay, sounds like we are not a good fit for your vacation rental needs. The walk to the beach took our family of 6 a little under 10 minutes. (By myself, it was just 5 minutes.) I had a great interaction with one of the managers on the phone re: a minor medical problem. She was super helpful and friendly. This is the second time we have stayed in a Bayshore rental and I anticipate using them annually. I will try and get the same cabin next year. Rubin house! Maggie B. from Canby, Oregon recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2011 The family has stayed all over bayshore, and this house was a first timer for us. We found the kitchen to be small making meal preps difficult if you wanted more than one person in the kitchen. Other then the moldy coffee grounds in the coffee maker the house was spotless and nice. The house is right off the main road and very easy to find with an awesome front porch. The 4th of July traffic of people leaving was the only problem, so many cars for hours driving creeping by.
