Stayed for 21 days in February, 2013 The layout was good for our needs... with Grandma and Grandpa, 2 grandchildren (5 yrs and 18 months)and their parents. The pools were nice but they were rather cool. It was a short walk to the markets (20 min). There was snorkel gear, beach chairs, boogie board and beach toys at our disposal.The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, dishes and pots and pans. It was a good experience. Wanted to let you know, when we were there you provided a fancy crib and mattress for my almost three year old. Every morning her large stuffed toy was wedged between the crib and the mattress. Because she is an older toddler I was not worried for her safety, but please NOTE that the crib mattress you provided did not fit tight and therefore could present serious injury to a younger child. Waikaloa Colony Villas Exceeds Expectations Andy P. from Richmond, BC recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in December, 2009 We stayed in Unit 2701 which was very clean and quite new and modern. The size was quite large and even though there was just the two of us , the unit could easily sleep two couple each with their own bedroom and bathroom. To our surprise there were even lawn chairs, boogy boards, coolers etc in the garage for our use. One of the two pools in the complex was quite close, although it was the smaller one of the two. It was a bit of a hike to the larger pool which is the only one with a hot tub. There are also bbq's for use on the pool deck which we used a few times. All in all an excellent stay. The one big thing to your planning is there is no shuttle service to or from the airport and taxies are limited in hours and very expensive. No help at all from the property in solving or offering solutions. We ended up renting the car an extra day to provent sitting a the airport for 6 hours. All in all a great experience. The lighting was so bad she could not discern the depth of the road below the walkway and fell, hurting her arms and legs-no broken bones thankfully.
