Mission Beach Getaway Information
Mission Beach, the coastal region that lies just west of Mission Bay, is a family friendly, activity-laden beach area just north of the city of San Diego. The white sandy beaches and vacation homes make it a popular destination in the San Diego area. One of the unique highlights of Mission is the small amusement park on the beach that has many standard carnival rides, a surf machine, and a restored wood roller coaster. Camping and picnic areas are all over, making Mission Beach undoubtedly the most family-oriented of the SoCal beaches.
Mission Bay actually is a man-made water park, and it is the largest aquatic park in the United States. Wakeboarding, sunbathing, and jet skiing are very popular in Mission. Mission is also home to the world famous SeaWorld, one of San Diego’s most recognizable attractions. There may be some other great water parks across our great land, but Mission Bay and SeaWorld are something no one should miss. On your next trip to the area, give them a look.
