Located on the Balboa Peninsula in Orange County, California, Balboa is truly a vacation hot-spot with its great location and spectacular amenities. If you like surfing, you've come to the right place, as the Balboa Peninsula is home to The Wedge, a world-famous beach for surfing, bodyboarding, and bodysurfing. The waves at The Wedge can be as impressive as those found in Hawaii, and thus was named the "toughest bodysurfing spot in the U.S." by Sports Illustrated (definitely not for the novice!). But if surfing isn't your cup of tea, Balboa still has a ton of sights to keep you interested.
