Tybee Island - No Place for Dogs

Stayed for 30 days in February, 2013
Dog owners should be aware that the policing of the beach is outrageous. We were fined nearly $400.00 for holding our Norfolk Terrier while standing at the beach in front of our condo. She did not set a paw on the sand nor was it our intention to do so. We had just arrived and wanted to see the ocean. We attempted to speak with someone in authority at the police station to no avail. We loved the condo and the beach colony resort but would not return to Tybee with this type of policing.
