25 km north of Helsinki, chalet without nearby lake 1924, renovatedreplaced, hall, open-style kitchen, dining room, drawing room/living room: sleeping sofa for 1 pers., bedroom double bed and extra bed, bathroom and dressing room/utility room, porch, terrace 35 m2. Upstairs: bedroom double bed, extra bed and child bed, bedroom double bed and extra bed, hall 2 beds, WC. Separate log yard sauna 1941 (44 m2), partly surface renovated 2011, wood-burning stove and hot water cauldron, running cold water, dressing room, room attached to sauna has baking oven and wood-burning stove/kitchen range, hall. Use of outbuilding must be arranged separately with owner. Stable building is used by owner. Hot tub at extra charge. Old, idyllic Finnish manor-style chalet in Tuusula’s Ruotsinkylä area. “Villa Tammikko” is an idyllic location for escaping from today’s hectic daily life, providing relaxing holidays in the heart of nature, yet close to the capital’s many attractions. Used earlier by the Finnish Forest Research Institute (Metla) for administration, the chalet is now a National Museum of Antiquities’ protected building. It is bordered by 500 hectares of State forest. It stands on a 8000 m2 well-kept garden plot. Child’s cot and high chair for a baby. In summer time small swimming pool (diameter 4,5 m) on the yard. Aircraft and traffic noise can be heard.

In summertime there is more sleeping accommodation in the yard cabin for 6 persons, and another 2 persons in the room attached to the sauna: use of both of these must be separately arranged with the owner.
Two bicycles and 4 sets of walking poles are provided. By arrangement, catering services; nature tour guide in evenings and at weekends can also be booked. Freshly baked morning rolls can be delivered to chalet for extra charge. Canoes for rent.
