Unique location next to St. Mary's Church (tomb of Martin Luther's wife), the city museum, and Schloss Hartenfels (the only fully preserved Renaissance castle in Germany). Although it is close to the historic downtown, the neighborhood is also quiet. Right in front of the door, you’ll find the church square with Luther’s linden tree and a remainder of the old city wall.
The view from the window falls on the town church and the Old Latin School. The neighboring house contains the city’s museum, 50 meters farther you find yourself in the castle courtyard with the Wendelstein. Only a corner away is the Hahnemannhaus, which hosts the International College of Homeopathy in honor of its famous former owner. Five minutes of walking lead you to the further sights of Torgau and the Elbe river with its meadows, which are very nice for walks. Right under the city walls, there is a small playground.
