Resort: 480 - 540 m a.s.l. >>Mountain health resort with 800 inhabitants, 11 km east from Braunlage, 24 km south from Wernigerode, 25 km from Bad Lauterberg. In the resort: grocers, bakers, restaurant. More possibilities for shopping and entertainments 5 - 11 km. Access: railway station "Bad Lauterberg" 25 km. Bus service. For arrivals by plane: airport Hannover (HAJ) 150 km, Leipzig (LEJ) 165 km. The mountain air spa resort of Tanne is situated at the foot of the Brocken (1142 m), nestled in the "Warmen Bode" valley, in the centre of the "Hochharz" region. Excursions to: the UNESCO world culture towns of Goslar and Quedlinburg, to the Ruebelaender stalactite caves (17 km) and to the western town "Pullman City 2". The most famous sight, the Brocken, can be reached easily by steam train from the neighbouring town of Sorge (5 km).

Resort in Winter: Tanne is attractive in winter with its own cross country route network with perfect directions. Since 2002, international ski-jumping has been taking place on the "Wurmbergschanze" 11 km away, in addition there is a 5 km long alpine valley run available.
