The beach at Playa Langosta is just across the road, only a moment away, with easy access from two locations. The entrance to each villa is secure and private with a doorbell located on the outside for guest use.Upon entering a villa at Cerca del Mar, you will encounter a tropical garden or, perhaps, a water garden. No matter where you are in the villa, you will have a view of either an indoor or outdoor garden, which truly brings the tropics indoors. The Great Room is surrounded by both indoor and outdoor landscaped gardens and opens to the pool terrace. The custom-designed kitchen offers American-style appliances including a dishwasher, oven, cook center stove, refrigerator and garbage disposal. The outdoor dining area just off the kitchen is covered by pergola and has a ceiling fan and gas grill.The Master Bedroom is also surrounded by landscaped gardens and offers a covered terrace for your enjoyment. The Master Bath has cast stone double sinks and opens to more tropical gardens. There is a built-in dressing area and access to the laundry facilities, a true convenience. Upstairs, you will find the Mirador-Bedroom Suite that gives you a view of the blue waters of the Pacific.A full bath with an indoor garden and a wet bar make this room a great place for entertaining. The third bedroom also has a full bath and the shower opens to another interior garden. All bedrooms have ceiling fans and in most, air-conditioning.The pool and patio areas in the Villas Cerca del Mar are completely landscaped and offer comfortable seating. The sound from the outdoor fountain relaxes the body and pleases the soul, as does the sound of the surf from the ocean. Review of Villas Cerca del Mar #4 A guest from Atlanta, Georgia recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in February, 2009 There was no hot water. I told them at the office and they sent someone to fix it but it was never fixed properly. The shower produced luke warm water right after it was suppposedly fixed but then after that there was no hot water again. Additionally, some of the linens were stained and there were some broken fixtures in the villa. However, overall the villa is beautiful and the private courtyard and pool are a special treat. I would stay there again and would recommend it to a friend with the caveat that they fix the hot water issue. Stayed for 7 days in January, 2009 This condo is located across the street from a beautiful beach with great shelling and birdwatching. The little town has many good restaurants. Costa Rica Vacation Annette B. from Colorado Spring, CO does not recommend this property. Stayed for 8 days in March, 2008 We had a very nice time in Costa Rica. The weather, the beaches, and the home were all great. However, our car was broken into twice in front of our condo even though it was parked right next to the guard shack. Also, an Iphone was stolen from inside our condo while we were out and someone had to have had a key to get in. We were told by management that theft is rampant in Costa Rica. Tamarindo Reviewed by: Myron K. does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in October, 2007 Alot of rain and nearly impassable dirt roads leading to the condo and in the town. Had some electrical problems with outside lighting. Left 3 days early. Mostly transit surfers in the area. 2nd time in Tramarindo..never again. Property Manager Response: As much as we hate to say this - and at the risk of losing some clients, Tamarindo - and Costa Rica in general are not for everybody. Costa Rica, and Tamarindo in particular have received a lot of attention over the past 5 years. We've seen the number of tourists increase dramatically and what we've noticed is that some of our clients are coming here instead of Hawaii or Cabo San Lucas. It's a great alternative to be sure. But it's neither place. Costa Rica is still a developing country. Their infrastructure is not well developed, we occasionally find ourselves without water or electric for a short time, and many of the roads are not paved. In fact, most of the roads in Tamarindo are not paved. Many of those who visit us look upon these little inconveniences as part of an adventure to a different culture, some even embrace it. For others it's nothing more than a great inconvenience. We would love the opportunity to share Tarmarindo with everyone, but before you decide to come, talk to people who have been here - find out what the weather is like during the time you want to visit, and do a little research about the area. Or call us, we'll be happy to honestly answer any questions you may have about the area, what it has to offer, and when to travel. It's a great place for a vacation - but it's not for everyone. Beautiful Villa! Reviewed by: A guest recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2007 We had the most wonderful stay and would definitely go back. The place is absolutely gorgeous and fully-equipped (no DVD player though). The pool is gorgeous and furniture wonderful. We had one weird issue where the water would periodically stop working but they were very prompt and accommodating to attempt to get it fixed and when they couldn't they allowed us access to another unit to shower.
