Family Fun Spring Break Joni H. from Houston, TX does not recommend this property. Stayed for 6 days in March, 2013 My husband and I took 4 teanagers (my 3 and a friend) to CR for Spring Break and they ALL had a great time. The condo was very clean and very nice. Our kids loved having a private hot tub to relax in at night. We had wireless internet and cable tv so everyone could unwind after a long day out. A small grocery store had the necessities and was 2 minutes away, so we had breakfast in every morning! This condo is located in a small upscale area 2 km from Tamarindo, which was a plus for us - close enough to take a quick taxi but too far for our teenagers to walk at night, which kept us from any partying problems or late night bar/band noises. RPM's Lola helped us tremendously in booking fun activities. We rented a private sail boat ( I HIGHLY recommend) on her suggestion. She was very helpful in setting up any trip we wanted and was a pleasure to know. This condo was also just minutes from our favorite beach, so we could go out exploring and still come back and enjoy plenty of sun time. We did not have any problems, but I am sure they would have been addressed quickly, as RPM and the property both have maintenance and were quick to respond to anything we wanted. A surprise was how expensive the food was in CR, which made staying together in the condo a big added bonus, as we had a full kitchen and kept ice cream and snacks and drinks stocked instead of having to get them from the hotel or room service. We LOVED the Langosta Beach club for dinner, which was a short walk from the condo. I would stay at an RPM property again with confidence and highly recommend them - we got what they promised. Great view but poorly managed Michael K. from Seal beach, CA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 2 days in March, 2013 The condo is really located in a nice spot. Great ocean views! Unfortunately, there were several issues with the condo. There was no shampoo left. The jacuzzi didn't work. AC worked poorly. The hammock had a giant hole in it. Nowhere to dock an ipod. Most importantly, the staff was rude. After paying $400/night, I was told I had to check out at 10 am (who checks out that early)?!?!?! At 10:05 they sent in they're cleaning crew to make as much noise as possible. When I called the management company to complain, I was told they were purposely being loud to insure we awoke in case we were "too hungover". RPM Management for Horizontes del Mar #306 was SUPERB Dr. Jack G. from Miami Beach, Florida recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in June, 2011 RPM's Team: Rick, Lola, and Julie, as well as the dedicated on-site team of security, maintenance, housekeeping, and other service personnel made our stay in June, 2011 absolutely incredible. The beautiful 2-floor 3BR/4Bath direct oceanfront condo, its magnificent views, the beautiful endless pool and the lush surroundings were peerless. Also, the Longosta Beach Club and Bamboo Sushi were the very best for lunches and dinners. For groceries,liquor, and all other "just-like-home" needs, get them all at the huge Aero Mercado just 5 minutes outside of town. Don't forget the open-air Farmer's market on Thursdays from 9 a.m. to midday in Villareal, turning right at the main corners, and about 300 yards south on the roadside. also, it's best to bring your own clear-wrapped folding beach chairs and umbrella as an unit of checked luggage on the flight to Liberia. Playa Langosta/Horizontes A guest from Windsor, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 10 days in July, 2009 Our family of 5 had a fantastic time, great vacation. Our unit in particular had the most incredible 180 degree views. We walked to Playa Langosta for the beach and Tamarindo for the shopping and restaurants. Our property managers provided hand drawn maps and suggestions for day trips that were quite helpful. We were glad to have rented a car to drive to nearby beaches and villages and to town for dinner. This unit could use some better outside seating options, but the views overshadowed that issue. Stunning. Safe. Stayed for 7 days in December, 2008 The apartment is great I just think they could have blankets in the master bedroom, and in the kitchen they should have plates to serve the food and the placemates were really in bad shape.There are just small improvements but the price we are paying is really high so I think they should try and improved this little things. The development is beachfront, with a very nice pool and the unit is very nicely furnished. You can have beachfront accommodations while still being close to restaurants and activity in Tamarindo. Unfortunately, the weather was not good for us (in May), but we did have enough sun to see how nice it could be with good weather. Only negative is the road to Langosto from Tamarindo - it is a dirt road and became very muddy with lots of potholes after the rain.
