Stayed for 13 days in August, 2010 What fun we had in the Tamarindo area beach hopping for 2 weeks. . . and Casa Coogan was a big part of that! It was very spacious, fairly modern, and had a wonderful kitchen & pool. I liked the privacy and the short walk to downtown as well. Moreover, the staff was quick in responding to any needs we had. Highly recommended for a big family or group that wants to be close to it all but not too close as to be disturbed by the night life. The only downfall was that one of the rooms (the downstairs bedroom) had a musty/moldy smell to it. Seems to be due to the air conditioning unit that drips in that room. We told the staff about it before we left, so hopefully that will be taken care of for future guests. Overall . . . PURA VIDA! Stayed for 3 days in December, 2008 This was a very affordable place to stay in Tamarindo,especially for study abroad stuednts as myself, the weekend that was spent was awesome because it was the last weekend our group had and we were all able to have a place to party and have fun as well as being near the beach. Stayed for 7 days in February, 2008 The walk to the beach was a bit longer than expected but there was lots of room in the house and yard. The kitchen and dinning room were great as well as the pool area, but could have used more loungers and comfortable furniture. Also the air conditioning had to be very cold in the mainfloor bedroom so that the rest of the house was not too hot.
