Quiet, Restful A guest from Greenwood Village, CO recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in February, 2013 We enjoyed this condo. The location is away from the hustle and bustle of the pool area, so sitting on the patio is quiet and relaxing. It is perfect for watching sunset each evening.The mattresses are of good quality.The kitchen is well equipped, although there were too many pots and pans in the lazy Susan, so we tended to store them on the stove. The unit was musty smelling upon arrival, but airing it each day helped that. The complex is away from the noise and dust of Tamarindo; walking there by way of the roads is hot, dusty, and full of traffic. At low tide, however, one can walk to Tamarindo by way of the beach.A cab ride is $5. The beach to the south of the complex is especially nice, but is most accessible during low tide as the estuary can have quite a current and can be deep at other times. When you rent for a month Comfort of furniture is important A guest from St Paul, MN does not recommend this property. Stayed for 31 days in January, 2013 The only problem I had with this property is that the furniture was very uncomfortable. Not just one piece but all of it. The couches on the porch were heavily soiled and in need of fresh covers. The air conditioner was not working when we first came. But we were offered a property on a lower floor while the Aircon was being fixed. We declined because it was on ground floor. My husband wanted a view. So it took four days for them to repair. The property managers were good about it after we complained to them about iWork man coming and going. If the owner spends some money to get better furniture then it is a good unit to rent. Stayed for 5 days in March, 2010 There were really only two issues with this property.1-The place had apparently been closed up for awhile and smelled musty / moldy. Went away after a day or so. 2-Also the a/c unit was dripping water from the MB ceiling ( closet actually ). Called and left 2 messages with management but they never responded. Unit cooled ok but I suspect the musty odor is related. Otherwise a great location and property. Great maids and clean place. Its just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Tamarindo, but easy enough to grab a taxi next door and be in town in 5 mins. for $5. Our only problem with this specific unit was the ants and flying ants. Upon returning from dinner each night, we had to kill lots of ants that were everywhere!! We spoke with other renters and they didn't seem to have the same issue. Everyone else also seemed to love their units as well. The beach is amazing, the pool is great, and the security guards, groundskeepers and rental office staff were extremely friendly. From taking walks up and down the beach, this truly does seem like the only beach front place to stay with a beach front pool. In retrospect, I couldn't have imagined staying anywhere else. The views were great. The four of us really liked it. It would have been nice to have a pull out couch for the 4th person (couch was too small) and it was a big inconvienience that there was no phone in the condo as cell coverage was spotty at best.
