The Lakeview house is a custom redwood cabin with lake views from almost every room, conveniently located near several ski areas: 6 miles to Homewood, 7 miles to Alpine Meadows, 9 miles to Squaw, 20 miles to Northstar, and 37 miles to beautiful Heavenly Valley. Cross-country skiing and hiking/snow-shoeing trail heads leading to Paige Meadows are less than 4 blocks up the hill. Upon return from the slopes, relax in the two-person indoor Jacuzzi tub.
This cabin has a wall of 15 foot high windows in the living room, with beautiful lake views. The floor plan is open concept: there are no walls between the living room, dining room and kitchen. In fact, most of the living space is on the street level (living room, dining room, kitchen, master suite with attached bathroom, powder room, deck with a picnic table, and the two-car garage). There is level parking for a total of 4 cars (2 in the driveway, 2 in the garage). 4-Wheel drive is recommended.
The 4 bedrooms comfortably sleep 9: Master has twin beds converted to a king, Bedroom #2 has queen + twin, Bedroom #3 has two twins, Bedroom #4 has a twin with a trundle twin and an en suite vanity with sink. In addition, there is a loft with futons that can sleep 1-2 children/young adults. There are 2.5 bathrooms in addition to the vanity with sink in bedroom #4. The kitchen is equipped with all standard appliances including dishwasher, trash compactor and toaster oven. In the living room there is a lovely stone wood burning fireplace, a flat screen TV, stereo, CD/DVD player and a telescope to check out the moon in the dark mountain sky.
Kids will have fun climbing the ladder to the loft above the living room, playing board games located in the living room cabinet, and playing downstairs in their own game room with ping pong and foosball tables, all with lake views.
