For arrivals by plane: airport Berlin (TXL) 260 km, Rostock (RLG) 110 km. Stahlrode is situated directly on the Greifswalder Bodden where there are the beast area for swimmers( sandy beaches, pebble beach and grass beach), fishing, surfing and boats. Covered swimming pool in Stralsund. Excursion to the island of Rugen (services every 20 minutes from Strahlbrode to Glewitz/Rugen, it takes approx 10 minutes).
