Nice Unit with Small Issues A guest from Calgary, AB recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in December, 2012 We are a family of 4 with 2 teenagers spending a week in St. Pete over Christmas. The unit is in a good, safe location with nice ocean/pool view and easy access to nearby attractons. The landscaping of the complex is beautiful. We found the unit has lots of space to accommodate everyone comfortably plus room to entertain guests. Self check-in was easy with the lockbox plus we received a phone call from management to ensure we get in no problem. The entire complex appears to be over 20 years old and thus its design/look is a bit dated. The unit would benefit greatly from an update and/or renovation of the kitchen and bathrooms. By and large everything in the unit is functional. We had some problems with the patio door but this was fixed promptly by management. The place was generally clean except the patio windows (again they were cleaned quickly upon notification) and the oven (oven racks have not been cleaned for some times). A new bigger frying pan would also help. While the bridge construction was ongoing we could not hear any noise nor were we inconvenienced by it during our stay. Make ensure you have spare changes for the toll road though ($0.75 everytime you enter the island). Note also the complex does not recycle, which it should consider to help with the environment. I came at the end of the tropical storm Debby and my actual condo had no power. Waterfront set me up with this condo that was just perfect. We felt it was better than our original condo. A welcoming phone call was received a short time after checking in to confirm all was in order. Minor maintenance issues were looked after in a timely fashion with no fuss. The unit is very clean and uncluttered. Overall, only drawback this year was pounding from the re-construction of the bridge and a strong sulphuric odor from the Isla ponds, due to a one-time drainage issue. A lovely upscale condo that is being poorly managed. A guest from Canton, OH does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in October, 2011 Great location and view! Owner chose lovely furnishings and decor. Property management needs to step up. Condo was quickly cleaned but corners and ledges were dirty. Black mold in both showers (have photo); bathroom cup covered with toothpaste from previous guest (have photo); dining room light didn't work; sliding doors hard to open--tracks were caked with dirt; bathroom sink stoppers didn't work. Moved the nightstand to plug in a clock radio and found years worth of dirt behind bed and nightstand. Looked under the bed for a dropped earring--what an dirty mess! Sheets had some stains. Couldn't open most windows as the locks were painted over. Instructions for condo were on the far side of the refrigerator--didn't see them until the day before leaving. Parking instructions were unclear--there are TWO spots with the same number. OVERALL, the unit is lovely but uncared for. Needs a thorough cleaning and inspection before recommending to a friend.
