There is so much more to our Surf View house than meets the eye! Just 4 houses from the beach, it offers a patio, yard, huge deck with partial ocean views, a crow's nest with vast views, and a outdoor patio area and kitchenette downstairs. Wow!
Surrounded by wooded areas on two sides and boasting a shady backyard full of good climbing trees, Surfer View makes you feel delightfully secluded from the bustle of a busy beach town. Sit on our back patio with a cool drink, enjoy a casual meal on our huge second-floor deck overlooking our quiet street, or sunbathe in our crow's nest, where you can see for miles in every direction. There are lovely spaces at Surf View for peace, contemplation, and serene enjoyment.
Of course, there are also plenty of places for fun! Gather the whole group in the upstairs living room to watch a favorite movie, listen to music, or play games together. Our large HDTV with surround-sound makes watching anything a little more exciting, and throughout the house you will find other TVs, along with DVD player. Your vacation needs a soundtrack, after all!
You'll love our open, airy living and dining area, with 2 sets of sliding glass doors leading out to the long, wide deck. You can see the horizon from the couches, and our dining table (with 6 exceedingly comfortable chairs, just in case supper turns into a marathon Trivial Pursuit tournament!) is set right beside one set of doors, so that sunlight splashes over you as you dine. Oh, go ahead -- pick up your plate and glass and head out into that balmy sea-kissed air!
Our kitchen is pristine and ready to be useful, even if cooking is a very low priority for you this vacation. Fill up the fridge and pantry with food and drink, pull out the microwave, coffeemaker, and other necessary time-savers, and be on your way in no time! Our retro-look teal countertops and linoleum may remind you of beach houses from your childhood, but the long windows, up-to-the-minute appliances, and track lighting are thoroughly modern! And if you should get lucky and bring back some trout from a fishing expedition, you'll find all the pots, pans, dishes, and utensils you need to turn it into a gourmet feast.
The one place you won't find full of sunshine at Surfer View is the master suite, which has small, high windows to maximize your privacy and keep the room sleepily dark. A luxurious king-sized bed, TV, and en suite bathroom make the master a lovely retreat that encourages early bedtimes and late mornings! There is also a bonus queen sleeper sofa in this room.
Surf View is the ideal vacation home for two families traveling together or for a couple with teenagers, for the downstairs of our home can be made as separate as you like. Our 1st floor offers a kitchenette, dining area and patio access.
Two more bedrooms are located downstairs: a lovely room with a double-sized bed, as well as a larger room with 2 single beds, and a futon sleeper. Parents with large families may be delighted to let the kids take over the downstairs during their stay, or to give the upstairs bedroom to the grandparents.
Be sure to enjoy our deck at Surf View. Partly in shade much of the day, this is a great place to curl up with a book, update your status on Facebook (you have free wireless Internet at Surf View), or bring your binoculars to get a better look at all those birds you've been hearing. The evenings are long and beautiful here, and you're going to love this space! Of course, if you get bored, there's a porch swing downstairs and a panoramic view up in the crow's nest to divert you!
The silky white sands of St. Augustine Beach are just minutes away, while the Intracoastal Waterway is just behind you. World-class golf, shopping, dining, and sightseeing abound here. Come have fun in our Florida paradise!

Property management staff A guest from Stafford, VA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in June, 2012 Superb rental property. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The only problem we experienced should have been very minor...there were no outside trash cans. When we left after one week, there was one very full 20 gallon can and another 5 bags of trash sitting next to it. We contacted Vacation Pros 4 times during the week (got the one can after the third contact). A very minor thing became a distraction. Spring Break 2012 Charles D. from Fort Benning, Georgia recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in March, 2012 We had a great visit to the beach! Loved the location, the size and layout of the property worked very well for us. Of some concern was the lock/key situation upon arrival. Perhaps some confusion with the property management in giving us the key code for a different property. Would suggest written instructions on how to lock the back doors as that type of door lock isn't a familiar one. An eye sore was the construction tape and blocked off area in the back yard. Would have been nice to know that there was construction going on. All in all, we loved the beach, had great weather and were able to enjoy it each day all week! We understand that this was a new property to be managed... all that is fine, but would suggest attention to light bulb replacement, soiled carpeting, front porch ceiling( fan didn't work) and the condition of the decks... lots of splinters! Weekend Getaway A guest from Oviedo, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in September, 2011 My friends and I stayed here for a long weekend. Here's our pros & cons:Pros: It was very clean inside and within walking distance to a beautiful secluded beach. The crow's nest views are impressive. The large second floor deck has plenty of seating. Nice sound system and great large table for board games. Large kitchen upstairs and a small fridge & sink downstairs. Very quiet neighborhood. Charcoal grill included. AC worked great.Cons: Lots of large spiderwebs (w/ large spiders) around the deck and crow's nest area that I had to get rid of with a broom. Speaking of the crow's nest, it seemed a bit unstable and most of the lighting was not working. The outdoor area around the house is pretty much useless. It's all very overgrown so don't expect to have a yard available to you. There is a smaller deck you enter from the master bedroom but it's not in great shape. It has a swing bench but it was in dis-repair. When we arrived, there was a power outage (not the property's fault). When it came back on, house alarm starting going off. Neither the property manager or owner knew the code to disable so manager came out and disconnected it.My suggestions for VRPros is to have someone out to trim and maintain the outside areas of the house on a regular basis. Also, fix the lighting in the crow's nest area and have the stability re-enforced. Finally, have the swing bench repaired and cleanup that master bedroom porch a bit.All in all, everyone had a great time. Wanted to stay forever fro view and being near to the ocean Rosemary M. from North Augusta, SC recommends this property. Stayed for 14 days in July, 2011 Initially we had rented THE HUT based on an article we had seen in coastal living, quoting a historic beachfront cottage, well historic was the word it clearly hadn't had any internal investment for many years. i obviously misread rusty for rustic. Things were broken, doors were hanging off, windows smashed, power cords trailing across the floor. It felt very unsanitary. With three young children it was a a definite no no. I think the owners of THE HUT had been living off the article for years. Thankfully the rental agency stepped up and relocated us to this new property which although it was characterless it was clean and safe and we enjoyed the rest of our vacation. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2011 As I have said before, we looked forward to dealing strictly with your company everytime we came to St. Augustine to visit our children, but we are very disapointed with what we had to accept from your company. Again, the manager was very kind and very helpful, but I feel we should have gotten at least one day free or maybe even two since we lost a full day and a half of our vaction due to the filth of the place we rented. THe house was clean and had all the extras including large screen tv and wireless internet. The large porches were great. The only misleading thing was the grill int eh picture looked like it was gas but all they had was a small charcoal grill. I preferred charcoal anyways just come prepared. Otherwise I recommend this house to any family or group of friends looking for a beach getaway.
