The living room at Spyglass 4 is a glorious window onto the beach, with polished hardwood floors, rattan and papasan furniture for that laid-back beach feeling, a HDTV with DVD player, and a giant sliding-glass door out to the patio. From our couches you can watch the waves crash on the sand and, if you rise early enough, treat yourself to a spectacular sunrise. Step onto the patio and that balmy sea breeze melts your cares away! This is beach living at its best, with nothing between you and the water but sugary white sand.
The dining area blends into the living room at Spyglass 4, a rectangular glass-topped table offering plenty of space for the whole group. Of course, if picnics on the beach and al fresco dining on the patio are more your style this vacation, use the dining room table as a computer and game center. You have free wireless Internet at our condo, so bring the laptop and other electronics, and stay as connected as you like. And when it's time for some at-home family time, break out the RummiKub, put on your favorite music, and make a night of it! Perfect Location A guest from Dacula, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in July, 2012 If you are looking for a no frills, clean condo on the beach this is for you. The kitchen has been upgraded but the rest of the condo could use some new paint, furniture, etc. It was what we expected for the price we paid. The unit was clean and in a very quite complex. The beach was perfect, not crowded, and just a few steps away. We didn't go to the pool or tennis courts but both looked nice. The air conditioner in the downstairs bedroom would quit from time to time but we were able to reset it. The balcony is small, only three people max will sit out there. The only thing I really didn't like was the amount of steps to climb each day. The main living space is not on ground level and the bed rooms are another level up from that. Nice place, just needs a little TLC! A guest from Eubank, KY recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in June, 2012 Beautiful location. Very private area of the beach. Very family-oriented. Pool was great and hardly ever crowded. Loved having the 3 levels in the condo to spread out in. The garage was nice for the auto, plus there was space to store our beach stuff. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, however there are a couple of areas that could use improvement: the downstairs bunkbed wasn't sturdy at all & the bottom level of the bunk contained a twin mattress when it was actually designed to be a full-size bed. 2 of our guests ended up on the couch as a result. Also, the kitchen could use some upgraded pots & pans. Also, the deck furniture could be upgraded. Most of the other units had a bar table & chairs, which would be nice. Get getaway! A guest from Atlantic Beach, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in May, 2012 The location and layout was ideal. We had a packed house with 6 people. Four adults and 2 kids. We enjoyed the beach and the lovely beach views from the balcony as well as the friendly full time residents. The pool was easy to access and even when full we were able to find a chair for some quiet book reading. I would recommend this place for you next vacation spot. ** We did have major issues with the A/C as it either broke completely or froze up either way we had no Air Conditioning. The weather was nice so we opened the front screen and kept the back door to the beach open and the air passing through kept things "milder". I am sure the management company will fix that. Also, the downstairs bunk bed area was super hot but the kids still slept down there so it must be okay for people under 100 lbs. March 2nd - 5th Richard J. from Acworth, GA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in March, 2012 The property location is outstanding, great pool area, and the view is amazing. However the Condo needs improvement. In general the condo feels very dated. The downstairs bunk beds were very uncomfortable and unstable. The slider leading out to the deck would not lock and was very hard to open and close. There were some other minor issues, but since I'm not buying the unit I won't mention them all. Overall it was a great vacation because of the location to the beach, but based on what I could have gotten for our money somewhere else I was NOT happy with the accommodations. We had an ocean facing apartment which was good. Regarding the service, I would say, need to improve on few things like changing the towels daily and providing with the basic requirements like Shampoo, soap, coffee, sugar and creamer in ample quantities. Rest everything was neat and clean, enough pillows, beds and comforters to accommodate a family of 8-10 members. The kids room is next to the garage but it feels a little haunted there. The couch in the living room is amazingly cozy and makes you feel all the more lazy. Overall a good, though not great experience, perhaps it would feel better in Summer. Stayed for 7 days in September, 2011 Sub-par cleaning keeps this unit from getting a really good rating; lots of dead insects, lots of live ants (must have been a problem in the past, as there was a fresh can of ant spray under the sink). The garage was an absolute mess. Shame, really, as the outside grounds were well maintained. My only other issue was the remote for the master bedroom did not work (even tried fresh batteries). The wireless internet was nice, and the furniture was pretty comfortable. Outstanding view - poor service Chris S. from Louisville, KY does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2011 Absolutely beautiful views from the property and beach access was excellent. Overall property was in great shape. I think calling a laundry room with bunk beds a "3rd bedroom" is a stretch! What was worse is having a mobile, inefficient airconditioner in that "3rd bedroom" that was so noisy as to make the space unusable. Exhausting the AC into the garage made that space unusable also - kind of paid for a lot of space we had no access to!Sending an email three days before arrival that the keys were "on the rental", but then upon arrival finding that was not true and having to drive to the rental office kind of set a very poor tone for the management company.I highly recommend the Spyglass complex, just use a more professional rental agency to make the vacation more enjoyable. Great beach Dirty condo Amy M. from KNOXVILLE, Tennessee does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2011 The property looks great from the pictures but once we arrived we were disappointed. The condo was "remodeled" and I say that laughing at the pitiful attempt. There were HUGE gaps in the flooring that I kept catching my toe in. The stairs going up to the bedrooms squeaked so bad that when we put our daughter down for the night we didn't go up stairs till we had to sleep. There were spider webs on the back deck which lacked general cleaning. The pots and pans are filfthy I wouldn't cook in them if I was starving, the whisk and can opener were rusted. the dishes had dishwasher power all over them. We had to clean cups before we used them. The remotes didn't have working batteries which is just annoying. The shower in the master bath had mold. Overall if we had to do it over I would definitely go back to that beach but NOT spyglass 4.
