You'll love the comfort and character of our condo at Ocean Village Club D23. We?ve got plenty of space to sleep the whole family plus a few drop-ins, every modern convenience, and the ideal location for enjoying the beach as well as area attractions!
Step into our cool-toned, tiled living room and make yourself right at home. Between our sink-into-bliss loveseat and a wide reading chair with matching padded footstool (a great spot to gather the little ones for bedtime stories), you'll feel more relaxed at once. Turn on the TV, pop a movie into the VCR or DVD player, or pop open the laptop at our glass-topped table made for 2. If you're traveling with a group and everyone wants to do different things, this room can accommodate you. Sports fans in front of the TV, readers on the chair, game-players at the table!
Of course, someone has to keep all these folks refreshed and hydrated, so it's a good thing our kitchen is part of the action. A wide granite serving counter seems just made for tall frosted glasses filled with something delicious from the blender, a big bowl of popcorn, or even the catch of the day, straight from the Atlantic to your serving dish!
And if you're a serious cook, you'll find everything you need right at hand in our kitchen. The fridge is big enough to hold all the drinks and goodies your family loves, while the full-sized range, double sink, and dishwasher get the job done. We've got everything from a coffee maker to a microwave, icemaker, and toaster to make those kitchen tasks faster and easier. And all the cookware, dishes, and utensils are in place for the most complicated culinary feats . . . even if all you want to do is open up the takeout!
When it's time to get away from all the activity, our two bedrooms sleep 5 comfortably, and the loveseat in the living room converts to a sleeper for another 2 people. The master bedroom features a queen-sized bed guaranteed to give you a good night's sleep, plus a large TV, his-and-her lamps, a generous dresser and a whirring ceiling fan. The walls are painted a lovely shade of light cinnamon, very restful!
The master bedroom includes an en-suite bathroom with both a shower and a tub. The granite countertops continue in here, and you'll love our jazzy animal-print theme! It continues in the second bedroom, which offers one twin bed and a set of bunkbeds, plus a half-bath with an adjoining stacked washer and dryer.
The inside space at Ocean Village Club D23 is homey and comfortable, but there's also a bit of the outdoors to enjoy at our condo! The patio, open on two sides (we're an end unit), is ideal for enjoying the morning paper or chatting the night away. You can smell that enticing ocean air!
Ocean Village Club is a large condo community with tennis courts, two sparkling swimming pools (one very near you, which is heated in winter; the other with an ocean view!), picnic areas with charcoal grills, shuffleboard courts, and a clubhouse featuring a guest computer, and library. Have fun trying out all the fun things to do here, right outside your front door! (There is also free wireless Internet service at the Club House)
The beach is just a quick stroll away down our private walkway. It takes you over the dunes and right onto the ultimate playground, our white-sand beach.
Sunrise is one of the best times to be on the beach, so plan for at least one early-morning adventure! You'll get first pick of the treasures brought in by the tide, you'll see plenty of shore and water birds fishing for their breakfast, and best of all, you'll get to watch the dawn from the best seat in the house!
Our family-friendly beach is ideal for any activity . . . or none at all, which is what beach blankets are for! Watercraft is available to rent nearby, and the Intracoastal Waterway is just at your back, with plenty of hiking trails and inlets to be explored. You're just a short trip by car to fine dining, amazing shopping, and all the attractions.

Stayed for 28 days in January, 2013 PROS: Light fixtures are plentiful; small kitchen appliances are good; there are more beds than can be conveniently used; lanai is spacious but receives very little sun; half the flooring is new ceramic; there were no fleas, bugs, or spiders inside; electronics are a bit messy, but they work once you figure-out their undocumented operations; ceiling fans and mirrors in every room; kitchen and bathroom counter tops are new; washer/dryer and heat/air work well. CONS: Unit is advertised as a two bedroom, but in reality it?s a converted one bedroom which is why it?s much smaller than the other two bedrooms; some dishes, glasses, and pans were dirty on our arrival; two of three sinks leaked badly with one (the kitchen) totally out of service for three days; no WIFI; no breakfast-snack bar; storage areas are minimal and contain clutter; dish washer was inoperable and we waited eleven days for its repair (lost several days of vacation while waiting on service delays); recliners, bikes, and grill are not provided; no wash clothes or beach towers provided; two rusty, inexpensive beach chairs are provided; carpet (laid in half the unit) needs to be replaced or cleaned; noisy bathroom fans cannot be shut-off; doors and walls are distressed in appearance; furniture is fairly uncomfortable and stained; tiny dining table-- max of two; cleaning supplies are inadequate; dresser drawers are broken and/or worn to the point of being dangerous to use; shower almost works correctly, but the bathtub and faucet elements are totally inoperable (try either washing your feet after the beach in the kitchen sink or bathing your children!); window treatments are adequate, but five out of five are broken and/or falling off the wall; ten mile drive down A1A to St. Augustine?s old city; limited hot water (electric)? move fast in the shower and schedule only one person per half hour; entire unit is in need of a deep-cleaning; confused array of jungle print decors throughout the condo. Review of d23 unit at ocean village club Amy F. from Greenwood Village, CO does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in December, 2012 The apartment was not in good condition. The patio furniture was very rusty and should have been tossed out. Lousy matresses and pillows did not make for a good sleeping experience. Also, cable was out of order for the first 2 days of our stay. Overall not impressed with the property and certainly would not reccomend the unit. Would not stay there ever again A guest from London, ON does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in December, 2012 The place was not spacious at all. Extremely cluttered. Not well cleaned (hair and dirt in the drawers, ring around bathtub, etc.) Shower ran out of hot water within 5 min, tub didn't drain properly. There was NO cable TV. However, place was well stocked with necessary items, even CD player and games. Lots of pots and pans. not near as good as usual becky c. from st. albans, West Virginia does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in April, 2011 We were somewhat displeased with this rental. We got there late, but when we turned on the lights, we immediately saw stains on the carpet, and, of course, our dog headed right to them. Also, the comforter in the master was stained, which was really"yucky". The AC was VERY loud the whole time we were there. The chains on the 3 ceiling fans were very short, and we had to stand on a stool to turn lights off, if we wanted to leave the fans on. The fan in the smaller bedroom was loud, and I turned it off so I could sleep. The stem in the bathtub stayed in the up postion, so you could not take a bath. The range hood was greasy, and there was black gook in the drain. We had rented another unit, but were changed. I did note that the rental we originally wanted was not occupied while we were there. We have rented from VRP before, with much satisfation, but this rental was a disappointment. Not really too fond of the jungle theme, either.
