stayed June 2-9, 2012 Larry H. from Lebanon, KY recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in June, 2012 Property needed towels. We did not have any kitchen towels. We had a problem with the dryer which I reported on Weds. for some reason no one came and again late Friday night they were trying to deal with it, to no avail, but the maintenance guy really did try and fix it, but was not able to. The beach is so eroded that there is no walking on the beach in the morning or evening. That made me really sad and I don't think I will go back to this location due to this. The pool is wonderful and the handicap accessibility was great for my parents who stayed with me. The cleaning was surface only. No deep cleaning had been done. Area where the garbage can is was dirty and bed and under beds where filthy. Was a better stay in Oct., 2011, but came back 7 months later and it had declined. Don't know if I will go back. The beach is very eroded at this sight and we were not informed. There is no beach at high tide. Had to call for washcloths, tho, and only got one hand towel for the week. Loved the location and the short distance to the beach. Enjoyed the patio and how close we were to the pool. I will definitely come back next year. The only negative was that there were not enough towels in the unit. Also, the smoke detector was so close to the dryer that we had to remove the battery every time we dried clothes. Condo very dirty and smells bad. Great location though too bad A guest from Maryville, TN does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in March, 2012 My husband and I spent 2 hours each = 4 hours total cleaning the condo after a 12 hour drive, our first vacation in years. We cleaned both baths,kitchen counter tops, frig, tables in living room, washed all sheets, towels,etc. Washing machine covered in mold, yes we cleaned that also. Purchased and replaced furnace filter had not been changed since August 2011 we were there in March 2012. It was very dirty!! Wishing that would help with bad smell. Dirty socks and aluminum tabs on night stand from previous renters. Carpet in master bed dirty, dirty. Too bad because we thought it was a great location. problem with bathroom fan and a light Sharon S. from Aspers, PA recommends this property. Stayed for 9 days in February, 2012 Called Monday about bathroom fan and light being out- someone was to come and fix it. Noone ever came all week- Light was a problem as it was hooked to another switch- we figured this out. Fan was never touched- could have blown up by now- we just didn't use it. People above us were remodeling- wk before us they jackhammered all week- with us- they just nailed the floor down and moved furniture 9-5. The only problem we had was at Pier Point the young lady that checked us in sent us on "a wild goose chase". She told us we had to go down the road to the Vacation Pro's Office to check in. That took extra time and gas. When we got there they told us we didn't need to come there and that we already had everything we needed including the combination to the condo door. Vacation Rental Pros Could Have Done Better A guest from Cumming, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in August, 2010 We originally booked a different property through VRP, however the property was under major renovation and VRP withheld that important tidbit. There were workers on our back deck, roofs being torn down, parking lots were full of dumpsters and heavy equipment, a swimming pool was closed, our 21 month old was in tears with all the unfamiliar noise.We got in touch with VRP and requested to be moved. They had us move to Pier Point South, which is a beautiful condo. It cost us a day of packing, moving and unpacking. And irritation. After being in the new unit for several hours, I noticed my feet and my girls' feet were turning black. The floors were extremely filthy. Especially gross since I have three little girls three years old and under. When I notified housekeeping (per the card conveniently left on TOP of the refrigerator), Linda came by and claimed the floor was not dirty. She did, however, kindly leave a mop for me along with a note indicating that the owner "knows her unit is clean." The dirty floor is not a reflection on the owner, but rather the cleaning company, assumedly the same cleaning company where my $95 cleaning fee is going...Hmmm...I would like to request a refund of my $95 since I had to clean the unit myself, Mr Milo. Let me know how to do that. I sincerely apologize for the fact that there was construction at the first condo you booked which was Ocean Village Club. We did upgrade you to Pier Point #50 and as you it is a beautiful condo. I will discuss with our cleaner and property manager in regard to the cleaning. This is not up to standards at all and I have discussed this with my operations team.
