Beacher's Lodge 206 is a 1-bedroom, 1-bath condo on the second floor of a beachfront building just 10 miles south of historic downtown St. Augustine. The Intracoastal Waterway is just to the west, with spectacular sunsets and quieter waters for kayaking, canoeing, and walking. And one of northeast Florida's absolute best beaches -- Crescent -- is just yards away, waiting to be explored! (Not to mention Fort Matanzas and all the other local attractions of this history-rich piece of the coast!)
Your favorite spot at Beacher's Lodge 206 is going to be the oceanfront balcony. It's just irresistible. You can hear the surf out here, and feel the balmy, salt-tinged breezes. If you're traveling with kids, you'll love this location too, because not only can you watch them in the swimming pool right below you, you can follow their progress down the private boardwalk to the beach -- all without moving from your seat in the cool shade of the balcony!
Our condo is compact but very efficiently designed, with a combined living and dining area (all with a great view of the sea!) and then a private, quiet bedroom. This is ideal if you have small children: just put them down for their nap in the bedroom and you have the entire run of the rest of the condo to enjoy some grown-up time! Or, if one of your party goes to sleep significantly earlier than others, they can get their rest without being disturbed (and nobody has to tiptoe around!).
The living and dining area contains a sofa that converts to a bed for 2, a very relaxing easy chair, and a big wall-mounted HDTV. The dining table is right next to the sliding glass doors, so you can enjoy the view up close even when you must eat indoors. This table also makes a great game or laptop space (you have free wireless Internet at Beacher's Lodge 206), so break out the cards and enjoy a night "in"!
The kitchenette in our condo is very well appointed, and we've filled the cabinets with dishes, cookware, utensils, and gadgets. The fridge is large enough for all your drinks and nibbles, the microwave and toaster oven stand ready for quick meals, and the stove is handy for home cooking. You just bring the food -- we've got everything else waiting for you!
The main part of our condo is designed for fun and togetherness, while the bedroom is nicely quiet and private. There's a firm, ultra-comfy king-sized bed in this room, plus a wall-mounted HDTV.
The bathroom, with both shower and tub option, is convenient to both the bedroom and the living area. We also have all linens and towels are ready when you arrive and there is a washer and dryer on the premises. There are plenty of extra pillows and blankets for the sofa sleeper, too! You can sleep 4 very easily in our condo!
If you're used to hotel rooms, you'll be amazed at the convenience and spaciousness of Beacher's Lodge 206. Between the balcony, the living area, and the bedroom, there are distinct separate areas, so it's easy to find quiet space or divide the group when everyone wants to do something different.
But the best part of this condo is its location. You're right on the shores of Crescent Beach, with your own personal walkway (and outdoor shower) down to the sands. There's a picnic and barbeque area on the grounds as well, and the swimming pool is fabulous. So much to do without even leaving Beacher's Lodge!

Beacher's Lodge condo 206-2 week rental Bernard C. from Flagstaff, AZ does not recommend this property. Stayed for 14 days in May, 2013 Beacher's Lodge is an older property that is mainly a motel. It is well maintained, the pool is excellent, the location and beach access are excellent, the front desk staff were couteous and very helpful. Condo 206 itself was a major disappointment. It is very small for a long term rental. It has an excellent bed but no chest of drawers for placing clothes. The furniture is low end and not particulalrly comfortable. It was clean but it looks larger and nicer in the website pictures than in reality. The bathroom is tiny and uncomfortable. There was no wifi available as advertised. The kitchen is cramped and minimal. Another major negative is the location just above the lounge area of the beacher's Lodge pool. the pool area gets noisy and there is no privacy when sitting on the condo 206 balcony. In addition the breeze is such that people smoking by the pool, or outside of the condo below 206, causes the cigarette smoke to be drawn into 206. I hated that. One has to close the door to keep the noise and smoke out which then makes the interior of the condo stuffy, which badly interferes with the beach side experience. I enjoyed being at Crescent Beach but did not, except for the bed, like condo 206 at all. Beachers Lodge Room 206 A guest from Milton, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in April, 2013 Location was great, right on the beach. We were able to reserve quickly, and the 24/7 service via phone was nice. The room was NOT clean upon arrival. There was urine in the toilet and the floors were dirty. We left it cleaner than we found it. But there were no bugs, the location was great, and it was inexpensive, so overall it was worthwhile. We weren't given the code to get through the locked gate to the beach, so we had to call about that. Also, the sign on the back of our door said "checkout at 11 am", but housekeeping arrived at 10 am and said checkout was supposed to be at 10. However, they were nice about it and let us stay the extra hour and get our things together. We had a good time. great location, lots of fees, older condo A guest from Lexington, KY does not recommend this property. Stayed for 5 days in October, 2012 Great location. Rental fees included $100 / night for condo, $38 / night it add-on fees, $12 / taxes. Condo is an older unit that has experienced some water damage. Had a mold smell. We received 1 roll of toilet paper and 1 trash bag. We called to get more, which were promised but never delivered. Less than enjoyable A guest from Bluefield, WV does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in October, 2012 Bedroom carpet damp and smelled bad. Advertised as non smoking yet smelled of smoke and dirty ashtrays on balcony. Microwave oven door burned. Plastic melted on toaster oven. Wrong access code given for beach access. Bathroom shower pull broken. Sand on bed comforter. Paid $95 cleaning fee but did not look or smell like it was very well cleaned. Paid $100 pet fee but while we kept pet enclosed others obviously had not. Disappointed! Linda H. from Delray Beach, FL does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2012 Booked my stay at Beachers Lodge based on info from Vacation Rental Pros website. Oh how disappointing it was! To Vacation Pro's credit, their people are very responsive and when I couldn't get the lockbox open, a property manager was dispatched in no time flat, and even though I discovered that it was me, not the lock box, he remained exceptionally gracious. As for the property itself, ICK! The furniture smelled a bit musty, the rugs were just yucky to put my feet on - really needed a cleaning and the window AC unit in the bedroom let the outdoor light shine through. That meant that the indoors was humid and my clothes, the bedding and the furniture were always damp. I phoned Vacation Pros to ask if I could get a day refunded by checking out early (had booked a 3 day stay) and was told no, no refunds, period. Well I went ahead and left a day early anyway, by 10am checkout, made sure to leave the unit in good shape and let VP know I was out of there. I will ask again for a refund or at least a partial refund. After having no time off for about a year, I just wanted a few quiet, enjoyable days. I'm sad to say that just isn't what I got. Lesson learned not to trust that what you see on the internet is what you're going to get. Beach front with beach & pool view A guest from Springfield, VA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2012 The location on Crescent Beach is excellent, a short walk on the dune walkway to the beach. There are lifeguards stationed close by on the beach. Ample parking and the pool was nice. The room was very nicely appointed, but showed signs of age in the kitchen and the bathroom. It is nice to find a good place to stay that is pet friendly. We would definitely return in the future.
