The unit was a short walk(within the complex) to the beach, typically very quiet and close enough to do anything I wanted in St Augustine without a long drive. The onsite area for car washing was super convenient. The neighbors in the building were all friendly when I was there too. The best was that my dog family member was welcome and I always felt safe, even at night. I would definitely go back, it was everything that I was looking for. Property well maintained and access to beach and pools a big plus.The condition of unit we stayed in was very poor; primarily the flooring and sofa. Had a large stain on carpet and carpet, kitchen and bathroom tile in dire need of replacement. This took away from the overall aspect of our visit. Carpet had to be cleaned while we were there. The unit had a few issues...the plumbing is very slow, the furniture is dated and cushions on chairs have holes. The bathroom floor and tile were not in very good shape. The kitchen is very well stocked with everything you need to cook. Very clean and lots of detail to supplies; paper towel, tp, soap, etc. This unit is probably one of the farthest locations from the beach, but not bad if you don't mind a walk. Would rent again! Stayed for 7 days in December, 2011 I have spent a week in rental property... this was a very relaxing week of my life. The ocean is walk able distant and the property has private access for the beach. Just get out of the apartment take the walk to the pristine beach with lot of sea life to observe. The property has one heated pool located at the center for little chiller weather and one non-heated pool located by the beach. The oldest city of USA is just few miles form the property. You can go out for dinner to the Old city(few miles)... It has its old charm with sit-out-restaurants,shops, museums. Very beautiful unique experience.
