Resort: Picturesque village directly by the sea, 27 km west from Kenmare, 46 km south-west from Killarney, 121 km west from Cork. All shops, restaurants etc. in the resort. Road N71 from - Killarney. For arrivals by plane: airport Cork (ORK) 120 km. This typical Irish village is located in the middle of the Ring of Kerry between Kenmare and Waterville. Nestling at the head of the inlet which flows into the Kenmare River, Sneem offers a range of water sports, windsurfing, fishing, golf and plenty of walking. There are also good shopping opportunities with local shops selling local crafts, woollens and clothing. Sneem is also home to some fine pubs and restaurants. Sneem is an ideal point from which to explore the Ring of Beara. This rugged, wild and unspoiled Peninsula has beautiful Gleninchaquin Falls, Clonee Lakes, tropical Dereen Gardens, the Stone Circles at Droumoughty and the beaches at Allihies.
