Awesome Family Vacation A guest from Brisol, CT recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in April, 2013 It was one of the best family vacations! The location was perfect. The proximity to the pool and beach made this the best place to stay. The Aloha Kai facilities were great and we all loved the beach chairs and the two shady pavillions. The condo itself is well maintained and clean and roomy. The only think missing was perhaps a dresser or mirror in the master bedroom...did make it tough for all the girls to get ready at the same time with limited mirrors. The family is already talking about booking again for our 2014 vacation. The only negative was that our visit was cut short because our flight from Boston to Sarasota was canceled due to major snow storm that kit the northeast. As a result we lost 3 days of our planned 1 week visit. We will return. Stayed for 7 days in January, 2013 The unit was very small; the furniture was minimal and the general atmosphere depressing. The picture on the website is most misleading. Furhtermore, the fact that this unit is on two floors (bedrooms upsairs) was never mentioned, either on the website or by any representative. Since bost of us have trouble negitiatin stairs, this was a big minus. If we had known about it, we never would have booked it. The only plus was the pool, which is large and attractive. Right next to the pool the beach was alittle bit of a walk but not to bad. They are really strict on the parking only 1 car by the room and guest parking is very limited. We had family that lives in town so when they came to visit the on site managers wanted them to go park at the public beach 2 miles away but other than that it was a great vacation. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE.THIS unit 50 is NOT SUITABLE FOR VACATION. Dimidrios K. from Holiday, FL does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in June, 2012 The first day at unit 50 (is not owned by Aloha kai) we noticed infastation of ants and termites. The carpet upstairs very dirty.All the vents full of lint and the ceiling fans full of dirt.We spend 2 days to dust,sanitize,dustand exterminate.We actually had to clean the place for the next customers.When we arrived we notified the managment they respond next day.We told them that we cant sleep on the dirty beds and they gave us some new cleaned bed covers.Alloha kai is good but unit 50 is not rented and controlled by alloha.I WOULD NEVER RENT FROM VACATIONRENTALPROS again.I will contact the housing authority of Sarasota.This unit should not be rented to the public. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was very nice, we loved the location near the pool, the beach was accessible and very wide and clean at this location, and we were near everything. Ok but would not stay here again A guest from Sarasota, FL does not recommend this property. Stayed for 2 days in May, 2012 The property itself was in a great location, the condo was clean however had lots of stairs to get in and the bedrooms are located at the top of a flight of stairs. A big challenge if you have any difficulty walking or have small children that could fall. The staff at Aloha Kai (front desk) were rude and unpleasant. The pool closes at dusk and there is no shortage of rude people to make sure you are aware of all the rules. There are plenty of places to stay on Siesta Key that are friendlier and more accomodating to their guests. I would not stay at Aloha Kai again or recommend it a friend. We loved the beautiful beach and the magnificent sunsets. The pool is a perfect place to sit and soak up the sun. We would enjoy returning to another unit in Aloha Kai next year. We would not select unit 50 due to the fact the sofa and the carpet were very soiled and need to be replaced. Smith review of 50 Aloha Kai Robert S. from Halifax, NS recommends this property. Stayed for 14 days in January, 2012 The property needs some investment to bring it up to a higher standard:1. The furniture is old, dirty with holes in the fabric (i.e. couch).2. The hardware to open windows is broken (washroom), missing (handles in bedrooms), or the windows won't open (master bedroom).3. That type of carpet (shag) always looks dirty, even if it's been cleaned.4. Would be nice to have more than 1 towel bar in the bathroom (or hooks for towels). I hope these comments are taken in the spirit they are offered: we enjoyed the condo very much, but it is not up to the standards of other units along that beach. We have been going to Siesta Key and renting for over 40 years, and have rented at most locations there. Stayed for 2 days in September, 2011 On site manager dislikes rental agency and made it clear that rental folks were not appreciated. Several maintanace issues: stair handrail very loose, ceiling fans had tissue paper jambed into them to keep them from rattling, door stops broken and laying there, cable bill not paid/ was disconnected, mising light bulbs only one per fixture, back porch not sweep in weeks outside chairs filthly. damp wet smell throughout, front curtain about 9 foot long dirty installed into a 3 foot window at bottom of stairs creating a very dangerous tripping hazard (also was very dirty) Hope someone enjoys the $195.00 cleaning and maintenance FEE? Stayed for 7 days in July, 2010 the property has some maintenance issues,ceailing leaks,carpet dirty,very couch/bed not comfortable at all,bathroom tiny,outside area on patio needed cleaning,no communication with check-in or check-out, they dont manage this particular house.pool was filled each day with some sort of "swim club" adults that seemed agitated with children in the pool, I thought it was a private pool for guests.I always come with older friends, its just not very kid friendly for small children. No big deal with Target and walmart a stones throw away. Was there for my daughter's graduation from ringling college. The location was perfect. Beach was much nicer than Jersey Shore,there were times when I was the only person in sight. Hit it at the right time, one of the cheapest weeks of the year. Would consider a return trip to same place. Aloha Kai #50 A guest from Stevensville, MI does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in April, 2010 We thought the unit was dirty! The couch was the worst, when we opened it up to sleep it was full of sand, candy, and other misc stuff. No electrical outlets in the bathrooms the would fit my blow dryer or curling iron. Bathrooms felt dirty too! Long walk to beach and the laundry was always busy and it was $3.00 to wash and dry. Aloha Kai is nice just not unit 50! Beautiful Beach!! I would go back as long as I don't stay in unit#50. When we arrived we had no hot water, the place was dated, carpets were dirty, one chair inparticular was filthy,there were dirty dishes in the cabnets. We did get a good deal on the place, and now I know why. We still made the best of a not so good situation.
