Fireside sleeps 7 and is Pet Friendly! 2 Queens beds and 3 twins all linens and towels included and no extra fees. Cable TV, Wi-Fi. Shared firepit area for enough seating for everyone. The furniture/beds were a bit dated but we didn't mind at all. The customer service was top notch. The fireplace was warm and cozy. We have done many family vacations and this was one of the best! The shaver lake town was bustling with many happy people getting ready for the Christmas season. We enjoyed Santa lighting the Christmas tree one night and had free hot chocolate and cookies and my Grandson sat on Santa's lap and they offered us a free picture! Upstairs bedroom with small bath had a very hard bed-- woke up with back pains every morning. Need to bring extra cups, plates and utencils if more than 2 to 3 people staying in cabin. Very clean, furniture OK, some lamps and fan switches didn't work. Plenty of recepticles for charging cell phones, powering laptop and other equipment. Stayed for 2 days in August, 2011 I really like Shaver Lake and this was a great opportunity for my family to stay here (including the dog) and celebrate my mother's birthday. I was concerned with a comment posted on a review prior to me booking this cabin. The comment stated that the cabin smelled like cigarette smoke and that it had come from the cleaning lady. The smell was evident when we first arrived but we were able to deal with it for two days. On our last morning there, I witnessed the cleaning lady performing her job in another cabin with a cigarette in her hand at all times. She came in and out of the property with it and handled the towels the same. Besides the smoking cleaning lady, it was a great stay and the property management company was professional and very welcoming. I would return as long as the cigarette bandit is not cleaning the cabin I am staying in.
