Nice, but some warts. A guest from Millington, TN recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in September, 2012 Really nice cabin, location and view...BUT! Started w/check-in. Only option was pick up keys at main office instead of at or near cabin (as we've done w/numerous other rental companies). Had to go down main drag, on a Friday night, during a car show weekend and sit in typical bumper-to-bumper traffic for over an hour-not a great start to our vacation. Also, told we had to come by office again the next day to sign some papers. Though total bill had been paid via phone w/CC prior to arrival, had to come sign what was basically a CC receipt. Again, same traffic, same hour plus delay, even though there was an office at the entrance to the gated Cove where our cabin was. Make some arraignment to save your customers this horrendous paperwork drill. Next, the cabin condition itself-mostly good and clean, BUT! Better part of 2 days of our 7-day stay were with virtually no water pressure, and no hot water. They came out the first day, while we were out, to fix it, but when we got back, it only lasted about 30min before it went out again. Eventually got water to work normally the next day. No showers-manually pouring water in toilet to flush, etc. Next, the in-room Jacuzzi tub-second floor room belched black goo from the jets when turned on. Yes, they came next day while we were out and cleaned the tub, but not fun sitting in a tub when that happens. Last night was chilly, so decided to try the gas fireplace in the room for ambiance-2nd floor worked, but main floor fireplace wouldn't light. Of note-despite 3 visits from maintenance during our 7-day stay, there was no offer of compensation or refund. Bottom Line: great location, has tremendous potential, but needs more TLC and attention to detail from the management company. When you pay top-dollar, you don't expect to have to be inconvenienced with sign-in issues, require maintenance several times in one week, and have some things not work. Stayed for 5 days in May, 2012 the bothers cove resort is nicely maintained and secured with a coded gate. the roads are blacktop and our hybrid car handled them well, granted is was may, not december. the view from cabin 61, highland lodge, was great. the quality of the housekeeping and the construction of the cabin itself was disappointing. there were dead bugs in the jacuzzi, duty plates on the table setting and cobwebs are the master toilet. the whole cabin had settled and all the appliances and floors sloped downhill. there was no insulation between floors or in the walls from what we could tell because it was extremely noisy - hot water tank, dishwasher, toilet flushes, footsteps - you could hear it all. if you are looking for romatic privacy - this cabin is not it. the resort had a pool, but is was cold and dirty with bugs and leaves the one time we went. the wireless worked great in the cabin, no issues. parking was pretty level, which was a relief. brothers cove is a bit far out - 15 min MOL from pigeon forge light #3 - wears valley rd. i would rate the stay higher if the cabin quality had been better - i would guess other cabins in the resort are better. Very comfortable and clean. The view is terrific. Just a few issues that were not the best. The hottub had a terrible mildrew smell that was very apparent when we got in and turned it on! Only used once; really needs to be deep cleaned/clorinated. The upstairs TV's sound did not work, but maintance was there in a few minutes, very nice but could not fix the husband later fixed it. Will use this cabin/company again if we come back to Pigoen Forge, TN. We only stayed at Highland Lodge two nights and then we were moved to Majestic View A. I wanted to email you and let you know about our stay. When we first arrived of Thursday our cabin was anything but what we expected. The cabin we rented was way too small. The pictures made it look a lot bigger and way nicer than what it was. I am grateful you were able to find us another cabin, or two. The first cabin we stayed in was really nice and what we expected. The second cabin that we moved to was anything but!! I don't know how often you go to these cabins and do an inspection. I also don't know what your standard of quality is. You need to check out this cabin Majestic View A. It is in extremely bad shape. The whole house has water marks all through the house. You can see it leaks everywhere. The bathroom downstairs next to the kitchen has BLACK MOLD growing under the sink and the sink pours water from underneath. I don't know if you know much about mold but it can make people very sick. My mother-in-law and both my children have allergies and my son also has asthma. When we moved into that cabin all 3 started having allergy problems. My son and daughter have not had any problems in months so I know it was from the mold and mildew. Yes, mildew!!!! You need to look upstairs in both bedrooms and you will find mildew growing on the walls. My children slept on the couches because the bedrooms were not safe for them. I will attach pictures of this. Also there were not enough cooking utensils to cook with, no pot holders, the stove and microwave was covered in grease, the microwave handle is broken, the floors have not be swept in a long time, and the comforters look nasty.You can tell these comforters have not been washed or changed in a long time. I actually had to look to see if there were bed bugs. That is just how gross this place is. None of us had ever had a White Christmas before,it continuted to snow for the next 2 days.The sights we got to see from this cabin will be remembered forever! The staff at Brothers Cove were very helpful. The road to our cabin was very steep in spots so if you plan on going in the winter months 4 wheel drive is a must. The man who drove the snowplow was very helpful,he had to come plow our road for us to get out each time.Overall our stay was awesome,we will remember this Christmas forever! Beautiful cabin, beautiful view, we loved every minute of it, and look forward to staying there in the future. The biggest review I have, however, isn't even about the cabin. It's about a man named Harold who assisted us at check-in. Never have I met a man that more deserved recognition for his job performance. Not only was he helpful with the cabin and routes to there, he was personable and friendly. We got to know Harold on out trip a little and fell in love with the kindness he showed to us. He deserves a raise, as he works 2 jobs to support his family. He is a man who is in dire need of higher recognition of every kind. It was because of Harold and his kindness that we will choose to book cabins at Brothers Cove in the future. He went out of his way to make our stay absolutely wonderful!
