Stayed for 2 days in June, 2013 The road leading to teh cabin is quite narrow and curvy, not a good road for anyone uncomfortable with their driving skills. The cabin was very nice, but really needs a thorough cleaning - dust was sticking to the interior doors, piled up on top of telephone, hanging off of door trim. Stayed for 3 days in October, 2012 Although this cabin was fine for our needs, it definitely is showing its age and needs some better cleaning. The living room TV was a big screen, but old and the color seems to be going out. There were no directions on how to work any of the TVs or DVD players - never could get the DVD player to work. And for sleeping 12 people, there is very little seating in the upstairs living room and only 6 chairs for the dining room table. We found an additional chair, but all of us couldn't have dinner together, which was unfortunate. Worst problem was the dust literally hanging from the ceiling. It was pretty disgusting to look up and see how much was above the couch in the upstairs living room. Kitchen appliances (stove, refrigerator and dishwasher) obstruct cabinet doors from opening. 4. Poor overhead lighting for dining area. 5. Outside charcoal grills require major improvement or replacing. 6. Carpenter Bee's, Wasps and Fire Ants roam outside area. 7. Road posses a safety issue so close to the cabin front entry door. Children and adults must be vigilant at all times of day and night for vehicles exceeding 15 MPH speed limit. The location is great just a short drive to the strip and all the wonderful things to do in pigeon forge. SO GROSS!!! We did have a great time though and all of our friends asked us about everything and should they book there also. Kinda torn as to what to tell them. Stayed for 4 days in November, 2009 The picture of the front of the cabin was deceiving regarding parking area. It looks like there is a large gravel yard but actually there is only space for one car to pull close to the fence. Thankfully there was additional parking in the rear for 2 more cars and we had a total of 3 cars in our party. The lack of space to turn our car around everytime we left the cabin was frustrating and a little scary because of the hilly road and driveways around us. The cabin was generaly clean but there was built up dust and dirt along baseboards. One toilet out of three gave us trouble flushing and had to use the plunger to get it going again. There were no trash bags provided to keep trash out of the cabin. Luckily I brought my own so we managed ok. The cabin itself was nice and the furniture was nice, but no blankets were provided as indicated in the description. We did not complain as it was fairly warm when we were there. The first night was the only time we could have used them. This cabin was not as high up the mountain as we have stayed before but was still a good trek up and down everytime we drove into Pigeon Forge. The privacy and the peace and quiet was nice but will probably try a condo the next time we visit. The ameneties were good but were not used as much as anticipated. We had two families staying in the cabin. First the view was amazing. The cabin was beautifully furnished. There was plenty of space to spread out. The two family rooms were great. The adults could watch a movie upstairs while the teens played air hockey, pool, or watched something different downstairs. The bedrooms were large with ample space for luggage. The kitchen was supplied with everything we needed with the exception of muffin pan. We improvised and made a banana cake instead of banana muffins.Overall, I would stay in this cabin again. The house is beautiful. 2 very large bedrooms and one good size bedroom. 2 gas fireplaces kept the residence very comfortable. There is the most gorgeous view off the living room deck. We did not get a chance to use the hottub or to bbq on the charcoal grill. Would recommend this house (cabin does not describe it properly) to everyone. We had a very good time in Pigeon Forge but I was dissappointed with the cabin not being clean. I had clean the floors myself. I A guest from Hazard, KY does not recommend this property. I know that the cabin is for sale but they really need to keep it in better condition. The toilet also would not stop running in one of the bathrooms. The dryer vent is connected to a garbage can which is very dangerous. The location is great and the cabin is beautiful but needs to be cleaner! Each bedroom having its own TV made it really convenient so that we could all go separate ways for downtime.The kitchen was very lacking in necessities. The pots and pans were so old that you couldn?t cook in them. Everything we tried to cook stuck. Also there was nothing in the kitchen to scrub dishes with, there weren?t enough utensils to go around and there weren?t enough plates to go around. There were no large spoons for serving. Also, there was a broom, but no dustpan. We usually stay at Chalet Village chalets and are very used to these chalets being a home away from home. We cook a lot of meals in and expected a fully furnished kitchen as it was stated in the rental information.Also, we mentioned to the ladies at the check in location when we went to get more towels that several of the chairs were broken on the deck. They told us that ?it?s up to the owners to fix that? and ?they get upset if we tell them what to do.? I understand that each chalet is owned by a different person, but usually the owners aren?t visiting the chalets on a regular basis. I would think that as the company representing the chalet?s you would want that type of feedback to pass on to the owners. Stayed for 3 days in April, 2008 this was the 1st time for alot in my group to come to the smokies & once we got up the hills & over the fear of climbing them we had a wonderful time. With 7 children - ages 2 to 18 in our party there was something for everyone & never a dull moment or boredom. although i would recommend mentioning the steepness of the mountain & drive (i only got the hang of backing out the day we were leaving) and definently mention if you are coming in winter to be sure to have 4 wheel drive & an experienced driver. it was a wonderful overall experience & the view was breath taking. i would definently consider this cabin again for a large group & would recommend to anyone.
