Not only will you enjoy the seclusion, but you will be amazed at how convenient and close the cabin is to the best attractions and activities. In addition, you will enjoy spreading out in this luxury yet rustic cabin and enjoying the luxury furnishings and amenities it offers.

Relax upstairs in the great room with lofted ceilings and unique food flooring with fireplace, luxury furnishings and 18 foot vaulted ceilings while the kids head downstairs to the game room to shoot pool, play air hockey, or go nuts on the stand up arcade game with Ms. Pac Man, Galaga and many other games. Relax on the covered deck in the hot tub under the stars or enjoy your morning coffee watching the wild life through the woods.

There are 2 suites on the main level, one with queen bed and one with twin over queen bunk in the other. The cabin features a unique queen upstairs bedroom in the loft where your guests will marvel at the beams and wood work in the vaulted ceilings.

Digital TV is included with this cabin. The kitchen is fully equipped for in cabin meals including a dining room and there is a washer and dryer for your convenience if needed during long or short stays.

Amazing cabin away from it all!!!!

It was amazing and quite. Cabins were far away from one another so it was very secluded. Long drive up a curvy rock filled road but so worth it!!!! Great game room! Bedrooms and bathrooms!!!! No outdoor fire pit but still roared marshmallows at park like grill!!!

What a nice cabin! My family of 5 had plenty of room and enjoyed our stay. The drive up the gravel road was a bit to get used to, but well worth it. The staff sent text messages to make sure we arrived and we felt they were available to us if we needed them, even though we were off property. My kids loved the video game and I even was able to teach my 7 year old how to play pool. Highly recommended - just keep in mind that you will be driving up a steep gravel road one-way to get to the cabin, so if you have a 4x4, it is better :)

Beds are horrible, one has a giant dip it. Couches are uncomfortable. Air hockey table doesn't work, and pool table is crammed in a room that's too small to play pool. Online pictures are very misleading.

Absolutely beautiful. I was a little disappointed with the view from the porch. Just a wooded area. And the "grill" was a sorry excuse for a grill as well. Park like grill was all it was. Dishes were not clean and in the cupboards dirty. The cabin itself was comfortable and beautiful and had everything else that accommodated our family to a tee

We loved everything about this rental. Deer to my heart was a great cabin. My boys loved having their own rooms and playing the old arcade games. Only thing that made me nervous was the play set out back. Seemed to be a little close to the hill, my youngest took a little tumble just going down the slide. Other than that we enjoyed everything. The game room down stairs, the hot tub, and the kitchen being stocked with everything I needed to cook with was the best. We sure do hope to come back someday!!!

Spring Break Family Getaway

As a first time cabin fore, we had no idea what to expect. At first we felt that the nightly rate was a deal for all the amenities listed for this property. Upon arrival we were pleased with the location being semi secluded, plenty of room to park and yard to play in for our kids. We had a party of 5 with 3 adults and 2 young children. The bunk beds were a welcoming touch. Tv's were in all bedrooms except the loft. We were impressed that that the kitchen was fully equipped. Not having a dishwasher wasn't a big deal to us. The decor was cozy. However immediately we discovered several issues and notified the management company. The railing on The stairway was dislocated and the washer overflowed into the downstairs game room. A serviceman came and made repairs only to leave behind muddy tracks on the floor. Housekeeping was notified that the main level and basement floors needed cleaning. There was a black film that left our feet and socks stained black. To my knowledge no attempt to correct the issue during our stay was made. We also noticed several bugs both alive and dead during our stay. It is a cabin in the woods, so I'm gonna chalk that up to being and external environmental issue. Neverlesss, I notified management of it upon checkout. The property has tons of potential and I liked it's seclusion yet convenience to town. Overall rating of 3 is due to having both positive and negative factors during our stay. I can only hope that the property management team will take my comments to make the next guest(s) stay a 5 rating.I have a lost item that I've contacted them for the past 3 days about. I can only still hope they will locate the item for me and respond to me asap. We love the smokies and can't wait to come back. I haven't decided yet whether i will use elks springs again or not.

We are happy to see the technician was able to respond and resolve the issues quickly. We apologize that muddy tracks were left upon his departure. We do see where the housekeepers went to the cabin and cleaned the floors per your request. The black film on the floor was actually soot from the fireplace. The logs were not stacked correctly, causing the soot to release in the cabin. This was corrected by our maintenance technician and the floors were indeed cleaned. Thank you for notifying us of the item left at the cabin. As our representatives explained in multiple conversations, we ask the housekeepers to check for any items left behind during their next scheduled cleaning at the cabin. Once any lost items are found, they are turned into our dedicated lost and found team to arrange for shipping. We want to assure you, although this process can take a few days it is proven to be effective. We do see that the item was found, you were contacted, and it was shipped within three days from the time you reported the item was left. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and hope our dedication to both resolving all issues and quickly returning your item will reassure you of our pride and devotion to ensuring all guest needs are handled properly.

The cabin was in a great location away from the crowds, semi private and quiet! The only suggestion I would have is to update the upstairs couch and the beds, neither are very comfortable. Check in and check out were great and have no complaints.

This cabin definitely exceeded my expectations. Very spacious & quiet. Though, it was a little scary driving the the hill at night because you're near a cliff & no blinds being the front door but then again this was my first experience ever. Despite that everything was perfect!

The cabins are pretty awesome, with full amenities and lot of arcades for kids to have fun as well... Some of the arcades are old but works, expect that all is fantastic...

I didn't think this cabin was up to the same cleanliness of other Elk Springs cabins I have visited in the past.The washer smelled really bad and we could not use. The shower upstairs on the first floor needed to additional cleaning. And there were a pair of previous guests underwear or bathing suit on the floor downstairs!

Our Family Mountain Vacation

The cabin was very beautiful and the scenery was nice also. The staircase that wrapped around was so pretty. The only thing I had wished was that the swingset had not been so close to the edge of dropoff. Overall we had a great time and enjoyed the stay very much!

Dirt to my Heart!!!!! Aka "Deer to my a Heart"

My opinion, they asked for a review. Don't let E.S.R fool you, they were notified within 15 minutes of arrival & the next day they did a courtesy call did NOTHING to resolve the problems except offer new sheets. Businesses that truly care about customers would try to fix issues not hide from them or cover them up with excuses. Cabin was NEVER cleaned! We arrived & there was dog food on the ground at the steps of this "NOT A PET FRIENDLY CABIN" This cabin was filthy! If we broke our contract they would see us in court. THIS "RESORT" failed to hold up there end & there is nothing we can do about it. Cleaning staff should find another job or ESR should just pay them to stay home. Bought a vacuum, cleaning supplies & allergy medicine (my family has severe allergies to dogs, dust & mold)! No way would 6 days in filth work, don't do it at home or on vacation. 2 days of vacation to get it clean enough to deal with. We did not make it spotless not our job. I bugs in the mountains, so I expected some, BUT I will never understand why the cleaning crew can't vacuum & get dead bugs off the floors, counters & out of corners. Spider webs in plain site. NOT A PET FRIENDLY CABIN had dog food under furniture & in the laundry room, along pet hairs all over & in the beds! Hot tub was disgusting! We did report this to housekeeping & the Main office & their excuse was "It could have been a service animal" & we can't say anything about them. As for housekeeping, we don't know what happened..I do..they cashed your check & did NOT earn it. Shame on you all! They didn't acknowledge they failed, or offer to fix the problems or move us to a different cabin! A roach in the day crawling up my child's leg & not a active nest of roaches above shower Unacceptable Wi-Fi is slow.

My last night was unbelievable,the outside jacuzzi started a small fire, didn't seem to concerned about my kids and I begin present or my boyfriend putting it out.Yes it was in great location but will I ever rent again "Ain't No Way" Didn't offer another stay more than less a discount for not having full access to the cabin on my birthday which was supposed to be special. Will I recommend my friends "No".Sorry bUT not Sorry!

Thank you for reaching out to us, Latoya. We want to assure you, our guests are our primary concern. We immediately sent out a maintenance technician once we were alerted of the issue the next morning. The technician found the drain valve in the open position and the hot tub was empty. The power was still on, and with the water drained, extensive damage was done. We do show that 2 phone calls were made after the incident, however, no messages were left to alert us of the issue. We have 24 hour answering service for emergencies such as this. They did not receive any reports regarding this issue. While we can understand your frustration with the hot tub issue, we do not feel that any type of compensation is warranted.

This vacation was fantastic! We stayed for 4 nights, giving us 3 full days in the area. The property was clean and had everything we needed. Our 3 year old loved the swingset and slide, and we enjoyed the hot tub, pool, and air hockey. Our first day we drove an hour to explore the Knoxville Zoo, second day was a half hour drive to hike in the Smokies, and our last day we stayed in to fully relax before our return home. All around a fantastic time made possible by the beautiful and affordable Deer to My Heart cabin!

This our second stay (and both times we had the Groupon deal). We first were at the Fontana cabin back in September and came back with a larger group this time. Charming with a few shortcomings

The property fell short in a few areas. One of the main reasons we chose this cabin was because of its description of having a pool table, air hockey, and hot tub. The area surrounding the pool table was too small to play pool properly, even with the shortened cue that was provided. The wide-angle photo in the promotional description is extremely deceptive in its portrayal of this area. The air hockey game did not function properly, as the pucks did not bounce off the ends of the table. Thus, this amenity was useless. Housekeeping had failed to turn on the hot tub, so we were unable to use it on the first of our two nights in the cabin, cutting that amenity in half. In addition, the gas fireplace did not function. Although the cabin is advertised as sleeping nine, there is privacy for only five, at most. Two of the rooms described as "suites" are actually just normal bedrooms. Despite these shortcomings, our party of two couples and two teenagers enjoyed our visit. The cabin was charming, though a little "tired."

The gas fireplaces are turned off for the season, as this is a seasonal amenity. They are operational from October 1st- April 1st. We are happy to see that it was completed within 30 minutes once we were made aware. We can assure you all issues are handled with urgency. Thank you for allowing us to correct this issue. Great stay at this cabin. When we arrived the jacuzzi was hot and ready which was a definite plus. The online photos are accurate, and the directions that we received were dead on. Wonderful customer service from the staff. Easy, simple, and professional check in and check out. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone. Great getaway weekend.

Deer To My Heart Cabin

I used a Groupon and stayed 2 nights with a group of 6 people at the Deer To My Heart cabin which supposedly sleeps 9 people. It was decently secluded, but the steep dirt road made it hard to drive up to the cabin. There were some extra fees for cleaning and such when the nights were reserved. The total cost with the Groupon came to about $530 for 2 nights and everything was done online or over the phone. The only complaint I have is that the cabin and hot tub were 45 degrees when we got there. We were really looking forward to using the hot tub after our long day of hiking, but weren't able to use it the first night because it wasn't warm until the next morning. Elk Springs should have someone warm the cabin and hot tub before guests arrive. For those who haven't driven to the Smoky Mountains from the north, you have to pass through Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and/or Sevierville. These are extremely congested tourist cities. Even though our cabin was only 11 miles from the Smoky Mountains, it took about 1 hour to get there with the slow moving traffic.

There are standard fees and taxes that do apply. Per our health department regulations, we are required to drain, sanitize, and refill all hot tubs prior to each stay. This sometimes means that the hot tubs are not warm enough to use on the day of your arrival. In an attempt to make all of our guests aware, we do include this information in the agreement that you sign prior to arrival. Given that Gatlinburg and The Great Smoky Mountains is a major tourist site, there are times when traffic can be congested and cause delays. We do offer alternate routes (if available) in your final email with directions to your cabin. However, sometimes traffic is unavoidable. Although we do not have control over this, we sincerely apologize for any inconveniences that you experienced during your trip.

Overall, we had an amazing time. The cabin was beautiful and clean. The only concern was that my mother didn't feel very safe because if how high we were. Also, the delivery of food needs to be updated as well especially with Papa John's. We did find another pizza place that delivered and it was amazing for our first night. The whirlpool tub didn't work as we hoped. It did feel like home.

We had a wonderful time. My children loved the cabin and it kept them very entertained. There was plenty of wildlife around this secluded cabin. There was plenty of room for everyone. Elk Springs was very accomdating. There was a issue with stink bugs everywhere inside but they are harmless. Cant wait to return. I o ly wished i coild have spoke to katie sokner when making reservations. I wanted to add a day to our stay but it took her three days to return my call and then the room had already been booked. If she would have called me back or if someone else there would have helped me it would have been an issue.

We were very disappointed in our stay at Deer to my Heart. Having stayed at several other Elk Springs cabins, my friends and I expected the same level of excellence. We were sorely mistaken. Upon our arrival, the hot tub was not warm and took the first day of our stay to get warm. The hot tub was also very dirty with hair and debris floating in the slightly cloudy water. The cabin had spider webs and looked as if it hadn't been entered in several days. The living room and kitchen were quite small and the dining room table was a portable set. There was only seating for 3 people in the living room. The pool table was so close to the wall and stairs that it was a joke to even try to play without hitting something. Overall, we were very disappointed and embarrassed to have our friends spend so much money to stay in such a cruddy cabin. I have been a avid fan of Elk Springs for several years and have had nothing but positive things to say about their properties but after this stay I will not be recommending them to anyone. We were even told to go outside and take a trail since it was such a beautiful day when we called to seek help with the hot tub. No at all what we expected from Elk Springs resort.

We thought the location was perfect and the cabin was wonderful. Had an issue with the a/c either being freezing cold or blazing hot. When we booked the cabin the details said fire pit? did not have one, dishwasher as well? did not have one. Those details have changed since I booked it and complained. Also if you care about local weather forget it, no local tv stations. I think this is a great cabin but way overpriced.

Wasp to my Heart

The cabin itself was fine. The pests weren't. There was a note in the book that they don't give any refunds based on pests and that a few carpenter bees were common and wouldn't bite.I called in because we found 6 dead wasps, I killed 6 more, and there were 5 left in the tall window that wasn't within reach. The maintenance guy came out with the wrong spray. Said he would come back with wasp spray but that it would reek. We decided we'd chance it. My boyfriend had one crawling on his leg the next day. I had asked the front desk lady to call me back and let me know if she had a wasp free cabin we could switch to and she never did. The website showed three they cabins available. We also had numberous other bugs, killing about one per hour. Overall, the stay was nearly unbearable and I would have preferred a little motel in town and opposed to the $500 I spent here. Which is another thing since I bought a groupon for $299 and then it only deducted $1 when I entered the code. We didn't even use the hot tub but had to pay the cleaning fee on it. Everything was a scam and I will tell everyone not to select these cabins since they aren't well maintained.

Thank you for your opinion of the stay at Deer To My Heart. The two guests before you gave it a 5 across the board and loved everything about the cabin. The cabin is treated inside and out by our professional pest control company on a regular basis. Please understand that flying pests are attracted to the wood these cabins are built out of and they can literally pop up overnight and become a nuisance. When you called, we sent maintenance right out. Since you were unable to identify over the phone what type of bug it was, maintenance didn't know what they were dealing with. He did offer to spray with wasp killer, but you would have had to leave the cabin for a little bit to let the smell dissipate. You chose not to deal with the smell. As for the Groupon promotion, you save a considerable amount more than $1 off your cabin stay. Many of our guests have found this to be a great way to afford a cabin stay with us. We do apologize for the wasp problem. We did try to solve the problem for you as quickly and effectively as possible.

"Deer to my Heart" was nice to be away from the hustle and bustle of Gatlinburg, Sevierville, and Pigeon Forge. This very peaceful cabin provided amenities in the kitchen, and it made fixing meals seamless. Our kids enjoyed the playground, many TVs, Pac Man game, and hot tub. My husband and I simply adored sitting on the porch in the rocking chairs with a beverage. All in all, we were happy with this cabin, and our intention is to return.

We had a great time at the "deer to your heart" cabin! It was in an awesome secluded area surrounded by the Forrest ! It was so beautiful! The cabin wAs very spacious .. The entire family really enjoyed the air hockey, pool and arcade games! I would recommend staying here and would love to stay here again in the future if we're ever back in the smokey mountains!

The cabin is nicely tucked away within a secluded wooded area. We even saw deer and small animals in the mornings here. It lacks mountain views but has all the necessities to enjoy your stay. I really liked how the cabin had plenty of sleeping space and the overall cleaniness of the place. Elks Springs was easy to work with and I appreciated the call to check in on my stay. I would recommend this to a friend looking to take a family or two for this cabin.

This was our third year renting from Elk Springs, but the first time we stayed outside the resort property. The location was great. It was still conveniently located close to town, but was secluded for added privacy. There were a few things that needed attention, but the Elk Springs Resort staff was quick to respond as usual. We will continue to rent from Elk Springs Resort for years to come!!!

Things we loved: the location/solitude; comfortable beds; pool table/hot tub/air hockey/arcade games; half the customer service was polite and professional. Things needing improvement: the gravel road leading to the cabin--ill-suited for non-4X4 vehicles with deep ruts and mud; we had to call housekeeping to bring the toiletries promised; too many bugs (including inside the loft bed); no dishwasher; abominably weak wifi (which wouldn't have been a problem if phone service was better); rigid cancellation policies/some rude customer service; exceptionally high maintenance fees; layout of cabin sleeps 9 but allows no privacy.

The staff was friendly and tried their best to be helpful but because of the snow and ice we were stuck in the cabin. Our cabin was off site and unknown to use the road is not a county road so it does not get salted or plowed. We were unable to get the car up the mountian which forced us to stay in the cabin all week. We didn't have enough food so we left a day early and we had to drag all of our luggage with 3 kids down the mountian to the car to leave. Someone was supposed to come and get our luggage but due to other guest with frozen pipes that took priority. We were told they don't notmally rent this cabin out during winter for the exact issue we had. We wish someone would have warned us so we could have made an educated decision to stay on the actual resort property. The cabin was clean and there was plenty for the kids to do, thank goodness for that!!

I am so disappointed with my experience, we had no heat, when we ARRIVED the cabin had been set to 45 degrees keep in mind that it was 30 outside, the Hot tub or shall I say cold tub, was set to 44 and ONLY go as high as 80! We called customer service and they said that they could not help and that we rented the cabin AS IS and there was nothing that they could do. I have stayed in several cabins and I promise you that I WILL NEVER stay with ELK SPRINGS again!!

Our records show that our maintenance technician was out less than an hour after the issue was reported. He checked the settings and removed the hot tub from 'emergency heat mode' so that it would reach it's max heating potential. He also mentioned to give us a call in an hour or so if you see no change. We also show that you spoke to one of our customer service representatives about the the hot tub but we do not have record of the heat inside the cabin being mentioned. This is a priority issue and we would have addressed this immediately. Nothing is more important than the safety of our guests. It was not our intention to disappoint you. First , you need to find this property in the daylight because it is in the woods up a winding gravel road. The check in process was wonderful as your door code is sent to you. Upon walking in you see a small but beautiful cabin that smells pleasantly of cedar. Overall the place is clean, the bathrooms and kitchen are well stocked with essentials. Don't expect to get into the hot tub the first day, it has to come to temperature. The only complaints we had were the fact that it was stink bug season and they were in the loft area abundantly, all over the floor, bed and other furniture up there. They were in the highest window sill and would fall or fly onto us as we sat and crawled on the tv while watching it. While looking over the cabin from the high point of the loft, you could also see that the higher surfaces were neglected from being dusted. While the bugs were a big turn off, after they are removed, this place is wonderful!

We had an enjoyable stay over the Christmas holidays, the down side were the directions were horrible in trying to find the place, but after finding it we had no problem in getting back and forth to it with only three turns from I-40. Was a bit disappointed at the conditions, the kitchen table had crumbs in between cracks, windows needed cleaning, dust was built up on bath tubs , window sills. On the upside your staff was very intelligent, supportive and friendly, like that (;).

To far away from everything. The bottom door was unlocked when I arrived, so the kids was afraid to sleep the first night.

Good Cabin BUT alittle overworked for paying a housekeeping fee

Had a Good time, wished we had 1 more day, but scheduling just didn't work out for that many adults w/jobs & responsibilities. Disappointed the weather wasn't warmer, but 80% of the US was in a cold snap, it started warming up the day we left. If renters are supposed to respect the cabin person capacity, then housekeeping needs to have enough towels for the capacity of cabin & hot tub and dishcloths & dishtowels too! Didn't have enough BIG pans for food prep for 9, or a bug enough pitcher. Had to buy both at Walmart! After paying a housekeeping fee, disappointed we had to not only had to put towels in tub, but had to strip beds too, along w/ doing laundry every day. No sheets provided for pullout sofa.

Took a full day for the hot tub to heat up. Would be nice if would have been warmer so we could have used on the first night.

The cabin was great, we had a little issue with the hot tub when checking in but it was handled promply. We enjoyed our stay. The cabin was clean and comfortable. The kids loved all the games to play. A couple of hints for the property managers and owners. We could not locate any wine glasses in the kitchen, may want to stock up on a few. Even if the owners do not prefer wine, as a renter drinking out of a plastic cup although not a big deal, would just be nice to have a glass. Also the house at the beginning of the street is a little scarry, and driving up the hill to the cabin would be difficult in bad weather. A simple heads up to a renter would go a long way to help the initual impression of the cabin.. Thanks for a great trip, Mike

Filthy, filthy, filthy!

Floors, handrails on stairs, couches, and tables were absolutely filthy. Our hands were literally black from holding the stair rails as we went downstairs. There were 2 bathrooms and 1 roll of toilet paper in the entire cabin. No wash cloths were to be found. Staff called to check on our stay and said they would bring wash cloths over. Never did. Absolute worst place we've ever stayed.

My family and I had so much fun and got to relax and enjoy the cabin. My 6 kids loved that they had room to relax in and the gaming area kept them busy. My wife loved that she still could cook meals for us without breaking the bank or stress of getting everyone ready each morning to go out to eat. The cabin was gorgeous and spacious.
