well to start the vacation was amazing. it was r first family vacation. the cabin was vary clean and big. the hot tub was vary unsanitary. the water smelled of rotten eggs. when I called housekeeping they were vary rude to us. like it was r fault it was dirty. we couldn't even use the hot tub the first night. I didn't want my kids getting in it afraid they might get sick or something from the dirty water. then there was beds up stairs in the walls. Well on line they showed that. but when we got there they wer missing the mattresses. I was disappointed. Cause that was the whole reason we wanted that cabin. Cause the kids were excited about the beds in the walls. I didn't even bother to call the front desk. Cause as rude as they were about the hot tub. I knew they didn't care that my family just spend 800$ on a cabin that they advertised that wasnt what we paid for. I won't rent from them again.

Stayed 3 nights with kids and grandkids. Cabin was beautiful and clean. Driveway was very steep, a little scary up on top of a hill. Views were great. No Way Jose's Mexican restaurant in Pigeon Forge was Fantastic!

The cabin property was well kept and clean. The kids loved the game room. Our TV's stopped working the day after we arrived which was taken care of immediately. The blinds however, were ripped apart and offered no privacy. We were told they would be replaced and were not.

The cabin was just as described in the photos. Very steep driveway. If there is snow or ice, no way to get to cabin. Futon upstairs was broken and dish box in master did not work. View are pretty but not really a mountain view. The cabins was 20 minutes from anything. If yoqu like peace and quiet this is the place. Management company was great. Very helpful.

We had a great time. Our family needed a relaxing time away and we sure got it. The only thing that needed attention was the hot tub. Water was a bit on the smelly side and kinda dirty. Cabin itself was awesome.

My Stay at the Dare to Bare

All in all the cabin was beautiful but I have a strong fear of heights and it was too high up for my comfort. The driveway was the scariest I'm sorry to say. It was so very steep and I was terrified to come down off of it. I had to put our car in 4 wheel drive to get up the drive way. One day I got half way up the drive and my car rolled backward back down to the road. Another day My daughter and I started down the drive way and my foot slipped off the brake and I lost control of the car going down. I screamed out "God Please help us!" and when I said us the car just stopped... It was still in gear and my foot was off the pedal!! I managed to find the brake pedal and pull it up into Park. Then I put it back in gear and I got us down. Needless to say I had to sit at the road for at least 5 minutes to get my composure. The location was my only problem. Everything else was fine.

We loved the cabin it was absolutely beautiful. If your looking to stay between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg this is a perfect location. Cabin was very, very clean and the beds were very comfortable. Aunt Bug staff was great. They were very helpful and always polite. Thanks for a great experience.

We weren't sure what to expect based on other reviews but I just want to say that we loved this cabin! We had a wonderful week here with no issues. The upstairs "holes in the walls" gave my 3 children something new and exciting to experience! They loved sleeping there! We will definitely be using Aunt Bugs again! The cabin was larger than I imagined. It was amazingly clean and the beds were very comfortable. It has big screen TV's and Dish in every bedroom as well as the living room. We had no problems with anything. It is very secluded and farther out than I am used to but if you want to be away from the car noise and want to hear the sound of water rippling over rocks, this is the place. I will definitely come back.

The cabin is nice. Customer service is great. The hot tub wasn't working but was promptly fixed. The recliner is broken and according to previous reviews has been at least since 2013. Overall, enjoyed the stay.

We were a little disappointed we the cabin. The beds were so worn out ad uncomfortable that we left a day early because our backs couldn't take the punishment any longer. The bathroom were very dated and in need of replacement. The kitchen appliances were in bad shape. The realty folks at Aunt Bugs were very nice but really need to contact the owners about the condition of their property.

Rental would not agree to current price listed on website. Operator did not have the listening skills required to even understand my questions.Floor in master bathroom was rotten around toilet and caving in. Tiles were duct taped together. Had to straddle the toilet to use. Cabinet in MBR falling apart. Floor in cabin was filthy. Huge log blocking part of the parking area. Otherwise, not bad with a good floor plan and good location. Quiet with few neighbors. Just needs some maintenance and better housekeeping.

Staff was very helpful and pleasant. Cabin location was a little far but not too far. Views were great and enjoyed sitting on porch rocking. Cabin was clean and comfortable. Only thing is a whole in bathroom floor covered in duct tape and floor felt unsecure but did not cause any problems

We have used Aunt Bug`s 3 times and they are always great but Dare to Bare has a few issues. Driveway is straight up and hard too park and then turnaround and get out. There was a huge hole in the master Bathroom floor covered with Duck Tape and a crack in the jacuszzi bath tub covered with duck tape. They were in the middle of re-staining the outside of the cabin and deck. Ruined a new pair of shoes getting stain on them from the deck. Aunt Bugs has great cabins to stay in but will not return to this one.

family vacation for the grand kids

upon arrival there were 2 ladies at the desk, the first one was not so friendly, short on answers and acted like she wasn't happy to be there. however the second lady stepped straight in, welcomed us to Aunt bugs and immediately turned things around. upon arriving at the cabin, we were really impressed. other than an outlet in the kitchen not working, everything was great. We would choses aunt bugs again for future stays

The cabin was not very clean. Hot tub had something's floating in the water. The bathtubs had soap deposits from where the soap had sit from previous renters. Many things were very dusty. My husbands allergies killed him the entire time we were there. The microwave has a huge crack across the front and the dishwasher door was about broken. The noise it makes when you open/shut it (which is also very difficult) is very loud. The cabin is also about 12 min off the main strip and the driveway is VERY steep. Be careful about winter months. Other than these complaints, beds where comfortable and clean. Cabin is very pretty and very secluded. We did not contact management about any of these issues. Most couldn't be fixed besides the cleaning and there would have been fee for that per the rules and regs we agreed to prior to checking in. I would not recommend this cabin.

Not So Secluded

There IS a difference between being secluded & being remote. This cabin is in a remote location, but it is NOT secluded. There is a cabin directly above and a cabin directly below this one, so don't count on peace & quiet if that is your reason for a getaway. Be sure to let the rental company know about problems so you don't get billed. Not all jets in the hot tub & jacuzzi bath are functioning. Tiles in front if the jacuzzi & in the master bathroom are cracked and there is a big crack in the bathroom vanity countertop. Housekeeping doesn't seem to do anything more than wash towels and bed linens. For this, you have to pay a $45 housekeeping fee. Dust was caked on furniture, cobwebs covered lamp shades, & some of the walls had a coat of "dust fur". None of the floors were "cleaned", unless you count the area under the dining table that looked like a bucket of water was poured on it. We couldn't find any way to turn on the gas fireplace. FYI: The dishwasher does work...you just have to get the door lined up so it doesn't hit the base cabinet frame.

this was our first time in the cabins or even in the smoky mountains. it was a very beautiful experience, very breathtaking and relaxing. we really enjoyed ourselves and have plans on returning.

The cabin was great we stayed there once before. The only issue is that there was no key for use when we got there so we had to use the lock box. I called the office and they applogized for it.

We had a great time there! Cabin needs more large serving bowls, and a large pan for cooking large items.

A Very Peaceful Retreat

The location of the cabin is great, other cabins around but not too close. You can always hear the rushing water from the creek below. Nice roads to take a walk with your pet. Quiet and peaceful.

OUR STAY

the cabin location was fine, and had the potential to be perfect but when we arrived cabin was not clean and had a lot of maint. issues. staff was notified but nothing done about it. alot of little things that coud have been fixed were not. batteries in remotes,remotes didnt work on t.v. missing light bulbs, cabin ,oven,not cleangaming table had loose peieces.hot tub not in working condition, cabin alarm battery need replaced when told nothing was done.we had stayed at another ocation 6 months ago and found none of these type of issues. Like I said could have been nice but just minor things that have easy fixes should have been fixed not just for our stay but for those before and after us not good buissness.

Needs major cleaning!!!

New appliances needed, new clean bed linens and quilt (Quilts were very dirty) This place had the dustiest decor I have ever seen. So sad for such a nice cabin other than needed cleaning from top to bottom.. in and out side. Kind of far from town but beautiful setting. Clean everything and I mean everything and put new shades up and I would come back! Couldn't get fireplace to work also. I suggest you have some one check this place more often to see the condition its in.

Unable to use fireplace no instructions on how to turn on. Remotes to TV had no batteries so we had to go and buy some. Overall it was a wonderfulllocation, beautiful cabin and comfortable experience.

the cabin was very nice and comfortable the only complaint i had is the cabin wasn't very clean and there were mice droppings in the drawers of the silverware and the pots were messed up so you could not cook in them but everything else was great

It was a little farther out than we expected but most of all we felt the property had garbage all over it including used bars of soap in the yard and empty water bottles and cans. Inside we found a dirty sock that did not belong to us with spider webs all over the place. When we went to use the dishes there were dead bugs in the cupboards with the dishes. This could be a really nice place just needed to be cleaned. The upstairs beds are in like closets not big enough for adults.
