Heaven's View #20/Don't stay if pulling motorcycle trailer! A guest from Rock Hill, SC recommends this property. Stayed for 1 days in May, 2013 The property had a great mountain view! However, we were told when we called that we would have absolutely no problem pulling our motorcycle trailer to the cabin and parking it. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Thank God my husband is experienced in handling our truck and motorcycle trailer. We were so afraid that we were going to damage our vehicles or the rental property because of the steep hills. We called the rental company and spoke to a very helpful person named Robin. We explained to her why we were unhappy and she had no problem moving us to another rental property where we were very satisfied! The grass at Heaven's View #20 was waist high! Also, there were numerous cobwebs throughout the cabin. I must say that the staff was very considerate and very helpful, especially Robin. I will use American Mountain Rentals again. I would even stay at Heaven's View again as long as I didn't bring the motorcycle and motorcycle trailer. We did experience several maintenance issues, the HVAC quit working, there were several lights and fans that would not work, and the phone did not work and could have been because the electrical outlet had no power so the phone was dead. The cabin also only had basic satellite service with no local channels so when the weather got severe, we had no idea as to what was going on around us. One of us experienced a terrible spider bite that caused her to be lame for several days. We have been home for 2 days and the swelling in her foot is still not gone down. We are hoping that it was not from a brown recluse spider.A piece used of toilet tissue with feces was found under one of the beds.Bed covers caused some discomfort. Small dead bugs found under the bed cover in one room. Other than those experiences, the cabin was perfectly clean. It was very amazing in appearance when we walked thru the front door.The cabin was very nicely decorated and the furniture was very comfortable.We were happy to find a game room. Thoroughly enjoyed the hammock swings and view from the deck. Dishwasher was not working properly and furnace blower stayed on continuously. Note: We were accommodated with this cabin when we checked in the the staff was very nice and professional and allowed us to have a cabin different than the one we reserved originally. We have twins, a son and daughter. Our daughter is a special needs child and requires a wheelchair. We also wanted to take our two schnauzers with us to make everything feel like home for everyone. This cabin was the perfect floor plan. Both bedrooms are on the first floor. I spent hours on the deck with my daughter in the hammocks swings enjoying the beautiful view. Our dogs could run along the deck and there was no fear of them getting away. The deck spindles are spaced well to keep pets and small children safe and it is completely enclosed. The beds were nice and comfy. The decor and rustic stairs gave this cabin a homey feel. There is every kind of tool you need to prepare your meals, but I would suggest bringing a large skillet if you plan to cook. They supplied one but is was on the smaller side. This cabin was perfect for what we needed. I wanted a view and somewhat secluded and this was perfect. I also didn't want a cabin on stilts so this was perfect. I strongly recommend this cabin for anyone traveling with pets or small children. They also supplied a baby gate that you could use to block the stairs or door. The upstairs contained a pool table, foosball table and a tv also. The bathtubs in the bedroom are wonderful but the jets do not work :(...There are also full bathrooms linked to each bedroom. We got a late start so we were having a lot of trouble finding any cabins that were available. When I called American Mountain Rentals, and they told me that they had a cabin available we were ecstatic. The woman I talked to when I reserved it was very friendly. The check in, once we got there, was easy and the staff was very helpful. We went in knowing we were early, but just thought we would see if we could go ahead and check in, but come back once it was ready. It ended up being ready before we left. PLEASE--for $180 per night you can't expect one cheap kitchen trash bag per day??Other than that one irritation, the cabin was wonderful, the view fantastic, and we love Brother's Cove. This cabin was clean, well equipped but small (for the price)compared to others we have stayed in. It was fine for the 2 of us but for 4-6 people, you'd be tripping over each other.There were work men with loud equipment tearing up one of the roads to our cabin (yes...we know work needs to be done)so sitting outside while they were working was unpleasant. I am normally a sandy beach getaway kind of person and this was my first trip to the Smokey Mountains. I can honestly say I plan to return every year and stay in this exact cabin again if possible. Not only was the cabin fantastic, but the views were out of this world. Heavens View is an absolutely appropriate name for this location. The hot tub, pool table, games, deck, grill and fire pit helped make our vacation a great time. The way the cabin is set up and decorated made you feel like you were staying in someone?s home and not a rental! They provided more than enough dishes and cooking utensils to use and the dishwasher and vacuum made cleaning up a snap. The bonus of being able to bring our dog was fantastic! She absolutely loved her stay as well! This was one of the only cabins in the area that we saw a yard that she would have been able to play in.I will say that they hornet?s nests were starting to get a bit out of control and they should look into having them removed. The drive up to the cabin was a bit nerve racking but after a few trips up and down it wasn?t that bad. To anyone considering staying here you won't be disappointed! We will be back for sure!!! We dicovered it was the rust from the hard water. I would suggest using a mineral out for hot tubs. There were a ton of spiders and spider webs though in the cabin which made it seem like they haven't dusted in a while. The showers had sliding glass doors that needed to be fixed though. But other than that it was a wonderful place! You got alot of sun during the day b/c of all the windows which was great!!! 2010 Smokie Mountain Vacation A guest from Teutopolis, IL recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in August, 2010 We loved staying at Brothers Cove Cabins. This was our 2nd Vacation to Brothers Cove and both stays where very relaxing. Heavens View has a gorgous view as did the 1st stay at #7 Mountain Oasis in 2005. I would like to suggest only 2 things about the cabins, #1 Matteress covers to protect your very comfy beds and #2 bigger sheets that stay on the matteress other than that our stay was great and we will be back soon.
