Dissatisfied Lisa C. from Elkin, NC does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in May, 2013 Called and complained to the manager. Very nice location. But the cabin was under going painting. Painters left the latter attached to the decking could not use the swing boards and other equipment laying around. Trash on the deck when we arrived. Squirrels or some kind of animal in the rafters unable to sleep at night due they're activity. Hot Tub not working properly. The only downside was the privacy in terms of the bathrooms. It is a open floor plan as far as the rooms/bathrooms go. The banister on the deck near the pool table needs some TLC as well. Stayed for 2 days in October, 2012 When we checked in at evening, we found that there is a water lick in upper and lower Bedroom. We lodged a complained and promised to fix on next day but it is not fixed. We are not able to use the Bath tub and whole two nights we are disturbed with the water drop noise - Tip...Tip....Tip.. The name is misleading. the view from the back porch is the woods - Pretty, but not what we expected. 2. The hot-tub on the back porch was awesome, but the cover is getting in pretty bad shape. 3. The bed spread and mattress cover in the downstairs bedroom are getting threadbare. I have a 1 year old and the porch was a HUGE safety concern. It's missing several pickets and it's a far drop! Jacuzzi had algea growing in it called maintenance a few times to clean it but it didn't work! It had a stagnant water smell and needed to be drained and cleaned but it wasn't done!! Stayed for 5 days in April, 2011 Safety concerns on the porches because several pieces of wood had been broken on the railing and removed leaving 3-4 foot gaps where children could fall from. Hot tub did not have fencing around two sides which was also a safety hazard. Blender didn't work. Difficult to get to pots and pans in cupboard. Had to use flashlight to actually see what was in the space. Dishwasher didn't work. Views were beautiful. Location was beautiful. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
