TV cannels need to be upgraded to include ESPN, CNN, etc. American Mountain Rentals team very professional. Had 1 issue at 8pm and they came out to correct. Although not expected we had about 3 inched of snow which was the kids first snow experience. Would saty here again and would recommend to anyone. Stayed for 4 days in July, 2012 The sofa sleeper beds were broken so the children slept with the adults in the two king size beds. The cabin had not been swept before arrival because dead insects were all over the floors. The television remote did not work, and did not even have a back on it to hold the batteries in. Instead it was covered with clear tape. The kitchen was not stocked, had to call the main office to get trash bags which were supposed to be under the kitchen sink. This was our first trip back to the Gatlinburg area in seven years and would like to come back more often and not sure if we will stay with this group again or not, still undecided. Good trip A guest from Richlands, VA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in May, 2012 We have rented from AMR several times in the past. The cabin itself is a very cozy cabin. There were three adults and there was plenty of room for the three of us. The cabin is close enough to the Parkway that it allowed us to go out for a while, come back and relax during the hottest part of the day, and then go back out for the evening. The swing on the back porch was awesome. AMR was very responsive to a problem with the wireless Internet--they came out within an hour of us checking in to check it out. Unfortunately, the cable company had issues and the Internet didn't work, but that was certainly no fault of AMR. I have never had a bad stay with AMR and recommend them to anyone. This is an excellent cabin for anyone who wants a nice play to stay that's close to town and easy to get to. There are no steep mountains to climb and it's in a nice little resort. Stayed for 3 days in May, 2011 the cabin was cute, but other than that we were very unhappy with the service for what we paid for the weekend, we called with issues that needed taken care of and never heard back from them. hot tub broke saturday morning they never came to fix it as they said they would. was advertised it had an xbox and internet it didnt, it came with a playstation, so our kids brought the wrong games the dvd player didnt work also. the AC quit working but we never called as we knew they wouldnt show up.. no we wont come back!!!!!! We rented the cabin from Pigeon Forge Chalet Rental Website and the cabin was called a Pigeon Forge Chalet. We go there and our cabin is as far away from Pigeon Forge as possible, way up in the mountains above Gatlinburg. Then the layout of the cabin was terrible. Three stories with everything on a different level. After I unloaded all the luggage and tugged it up three two flights of stairs, I realized that my cabin that slept five only slept two because there was no extra sheets for the pull out beds. The rental company did give us another cabin, but they were not the nicest about it. They also did not offer any money back or event tickets after all the trouble. I had to take all luggage back down the two flights of stairs and drive all the way back to Pigeon Forge. It was after Seven before we got to our new cabin. This is the worst rental experience I have ever had out of all my travels. I would not recommend them to anyone. We spent a lot (too Much) of our time traveling to and from the cabin. It didn't have good access to any attractions. Also, the sleeper sofa mattresses are so old and thin it would have felt better to just sleep on the floor. They need to be updated really bad. My review A guest from Dacula, GA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 5 days in February, 2009 We made a reservation to have a cabin with a view. When we arrived, we were told that we couldn't because of the ice and snow on the mountain. This is not our problem. Maybe you should have a vehicle available so that you all can take clients up to your cabins on the mountain. A view was the main reason we booked a cabin with you all. This was a major disappointment and is the reason we will not be returning in the future. Also, there were other problems: no light above the sink (when will you all get the message on this. there have been other visitors that have complained about this in the past); the cooking utensils were inadequate (frying pan is totally worn out and too small. you need to buy one small one and one large one; couch in the main room is too short and does not recline (can't lay down on it); the chair in the main room does not recline; the bed pillows are very,very thin and that makes it very uncomfortable to sleep on; need to add a scrub brush for the kitchen sink; you need to add non-sharpened knives to the utensil drawer (ones that are used to spread butter, etc.) Not ones that are sharp that are used for steak, etc.; add several regular sized forks to the utensil drawer. You only have 2 at present. The rest are very small forks that appear to be for children. I am making these recommendations hoping that you will correct them for future visitors.
