Stayed for 2 days in March, 2013 My husband and I were seeking a place to spend our anniversary at in May, so we tried the "Lovin Life" cabin in Brothers Cove.....Beautiful resort......Beautiful cabin, however the location was not what we expected....private/secluded in our book means no one around...we were located in a hair pin curve of traffic at "least" going one way!! But very much traveled with maintenance and other tenants going to their cabin. Had a good time but we felt like the Welcoming crew to all new we started to say "Welcome to Brothers Cove"!!! when we heard a car... We have stayed at Brother's Cove several times at various times during the year, but it was the first time we experienced snow :) The only thing I would have changed was the lack of privacy from surrounding cabins and the wrap around road while in the hot tub. But the experience of having snow fall while sitting in the hot tub was PRICELESS...especially during Spring Break! :) Can't wait to come back to another cabin in Brother's Cove!!!! Stayed for 5 days in June, 2012 Loved how this cabin was close to everything yet it still felt like you were away from all the noise and lights. Really disappointed at the lack of cleanliness ....first time I ever washed the sheets the first night after getting in late from traveling all day. Even worse, after taking the pillow cases off, I wished I wouldn't have and decided to go get new pillows. I made a place for my 4 year old to sleep on the couch with two blankets I had brought after seeing "private part" hair and some type possible of small fecal matter in the bed. The towels had holes and stains on them.We go to the mountains every year and I LOVED this location but I have never rented a cabin that made me uncomfortable to sleep in the bed. I felt like stuff was crawling on me and I would wake up in the morning with bites on my back, shoulders, and lower legs. We usually always have to kill wasps were ever we rent, log cabins in the mountains..... We expect that.......def didn't expect this. Bad thing is, I really love this location... Worst Experience Ye. Darrel S. from Wadesville, IN does not recommend this property. Stayed for 4 days in September, 2011 We have stayed several times at Brother's Cove before this vacation. This was our worst experience out of all the times we have came, which is about 5 times. There was a live spider in the kitchen sink when we first got there. There were spider webs attached from the windows to the bed upstairs. This was not just a cobweb, it was a multitude of cobwebs connecting from the comforter to the windows that appeared to have taken some time to create this vast amount. The tub in the master bath had dead bugs in it. There were dead bugs in the master toilet area. There were cobwebs up & down the chimney to the windows. All these things were upon arrival. It was really irritating to see the note card from the person who supposedly inspected the cabin that morning, it was a joke. I would have been humiliated if we would have brought any family or friends to see this since they know we always stay at your facility. We called & also told the check-in area about our issues. The wood floor by the master shower was rotted, black, & missing a section due to the shower door leaking water onto the floor over time. Would suggest a much larger bathmat or do something to fix the corrosion. This might be our last stay because there are too many other vacation hotspots that will also take our money, just like your facility, but ensure it is clean & well kept. We were unable to use the Jaccuzzi tub, and limited the kids access to hot tub to minimal exposure. The water was deplorable. Not only were we not warned of the problems with the water at arrival or booking, we have never encountered such water quality in all of our stays in the past. I feel it is strictly the responsibility of the rental company, since the other companies we have rented from have never had such a problem. I manage hotels, so I am writing this to help your company and not just . I hear enough of that in my business as I am sure you do.
