There are only two things I would like to mention. The smoke detector did not have a battery in it and the cover was wide open. We did not notice it until the last night so did not call to report it but left a message. Also, the shower curtain liner was pretty dirty (moldy?). Would have been nice to have a nice clean curtain. Everything was very comfortable and clean. I liked the privacy but it was still close to town if you want to go out for dinner. My only turn off was the timer on the gas log fireplace! Whats up with that? For a cabin called "All About Romance" it was a real pain to have to get up and turn the fireplace back on every 30 minutes. The hot tub on the deck was great at night with the spectacular view down below. You should provide a small step to make getting in and out a little easier. The cover was almost impossible to close. I left it open a couple of days because I just couldn't manhandle the thing into position. I think they make racks to make them easier to close. We plan to come back soon and bring some friends to try some of the other cabins as well. The hide a bed couch was broken but the company provided an air mattress. They were very friendly. Stayed for 7 days in March, 2012 The only things I wished were different were for the cabin to be a bit cleaner, there to be places to walk from the cabin (you are truly on the side of a mountain, which is awesome in all other respects) and the hide-a-bed to be updated. The hide-a-bed is bad. The kitchen is supplied like most other rentals we've stayed in---sufficient. The porch, the view, the hot tub, the bed, the shower---all excellent.We had a fabulous vacation and loved our little cabin on the mountain! Very fitting name to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary.The cabin was gorgeous and had everything we needed. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars for property's general condition and location was due to the couch and the road. The couch was clean but the cushions were very flat and it was not very comfortable (we did not use the fold out bed so not sure what it's condition was). The road going to the cabin was very narrow and we did voice concerns to each that if we met someone it would be dangerous for either vehicle to either back up or down the hill, but I would not let either one of these reasons keep me from staying at this cabin or any other ones that American Mountain Rentals has.The cabin was so gorgeous, the hot tub was perfect, and we enjoyed our stay.Thank you for giving me and my husband a wonderful silver anniversary!!! While it does not have the entertainment options of some cabins (pool table, internet, wide-screen HD TV), it has a great hot tub, bedroom and porch with rockers and a scenic view. The cabin is clean with all the basics you need - fully-stocked kitchen and laundry facilities. The only thing it really needs is a better couch (it's saggy in the middle) with some pillows. It would be nice if the TV and VCR were upgraded to digital. The gas fireplace is a nice extra. I've used this cabin many times and have usually been very pleased. The only negative thing I have to say is that it was very hard to follow your directions to the cabin in the dark. The road signs are not easy to see in the dark. The cabins could be marked better so the numbers can be seen from the road in the dark. I guess you don't have many guest checking in for the first time after dark. We plan to return with our two children. We decided that we had rather stay in a cabin than a hotel because a cabin is kinda like your own little house for a few days. The only thing we could think of that might be helpful is that the bed was very hard and we didn't get rested because we couldn't sleep well. Maybe if it had an eggshell foam mattress over the original mattress this would give a little more comfort. But overall everything was great. We only live in North Carolina and not very far away from Pigeon Forge, but this is our favorite place to bring our kids(Dollywood) so we will definitely be back to rent a cabin. We were moved to a second cabin where the hot tub did not work. After two calls for maintenance to fix it, it never did work. The management was not very accessible. The happy ending...they did refund some of our money. Altogether, I would rate this experience as painful and unfortunate! The outside area of the cabin was dirty, unswept, and not inviting to sit. There appeared to be carpenter bees and termites out there also. We did not go outside at all, which was disappointing.
