It was wonderful to walk into a well lit cabin that was beautifully furnished. Only two suggestions I would have is get a new mattress! Not a very comfortable mattress. But the atmospehre was great. The porch overlooks the valley below and provides a relaxing setting for the hot tub. The location of the cabin is convenient to the shows, golf, and outlet malls. The cabin although close to other cabins was private and the drive to the main strip wasn't that far. The only thing my husband didn't like was the shower. He felt that if he were taller (he's 5'7'') his head would have hit the top of the shower area. But you don't rent a cabin for the shower so that was very minor. We were close enough to everything we wanted to do, but still far enough away for a private and quiet experience. The only negative thing I can say is that the drive way up to the cabin is very narrow and two cars cannot pass each other except for at a turn, and there were not as many guard rails as I would have expected there to be on the steep hills. There was NO WAY to pull over (without tumbling down the hill or into a gulley)if another vehicle was coming the opposite direction. The downside to this cabin is while sitting on the back deck to take in the view, the trees are overgrown and you really can't see anything. Also the vehicle noise from wears valley road echoes through the cabin. You may be high up on a mountain but the noise seems to travel right to your back door. And if your pulling a trailer don't take it the driveway is not trailer turning friendly. The cabin was within five minutes of the main drag in Pigeon Forge yet was away from it all. The hot tub was great and the bed was comfortable. Property was very clean but the black bed spread shows dirt. A different color would be nice. I loved waking up to the sound of birds but since there were no blinds on the back picture windows you also wake up at day-break which was 5:30 AM. It would have been nice to sleep in at least till 8 or 9 while on vacation. On the plus side we got an early start every morning. No shades on the back windows also gave the people on the mountain across from us a view from a telescope if they wanted to watch what was going on in the Lucky Star. Very secluded and very quiet, except believe it or not, you could hear traffic from the road below but not enough to matter. A few negatives were that the couch was not very comfortable for sitting. It would have been nice to have a lounge chair and an endtable. There were not enough dishes for even just two people. We had to run the dishwasher after every meal. Not much storage or counter space in the kitchen. We had a wonderful time and we would stay there again.
