Wonderful Stay Wendell B. from Lehi, Utah recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in May, 2013 This was just what we were looking for; just the right size for two, very quiet, steps from the beach, and the view from the house and deck were perfect. We hope to return. |

A Place To Return To A guest from Canby, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in April, 2013 Our plans changed at the last minute due to a family death the day before we were scheduled to arrive. The staff was wonderful to help accomodate our vacation time. Arriving a few days late, the home was clean, well furnished, and such a healing place to sit in the living room with so many windows displaying the expanse of beach below. We were so grateful for the cooperation of the staff and for the seclusion of the home. It is definitely a place to return to! |

Our favorite beach house Teresa H. from Snohomish, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in April, 2013 This was our 3rd time at the Driftwood Loft. I almost hate to review it because it is such a hidden gem. Spotlessly clean, private and quiet with amazing views and right on the beach. We walked about 2 miles north to some big rocks with interesting tide pools. Some cool hanging sculptures in the kitchen and bedroom add interest. We were fortunate to have sunny weather and could see forever - whales spouting far out in the distance. The home is equipped nicely and we wanted for nothing. A small gas fireplace adds amibiance on a cool spring evening. Just a short drive north to Newport and the Rogue Brewery on the historical waterfront. Or south to Waldport. Fully enjoy this place and we will return. |

We'll be back! A guest from Boise, Idhao recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in September, 2012 The Driftwood Loft was very much as advertised on line, and fit our needs exactly. We enjoyed the privacy and beach access and the terrific view. Everything we needed was there at the house, all in good order. We will definitely stay at the Driftwood Loft again! |

Amazing location and view A guest from Portland, Oregon recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2012 The property is located at the end of a road and other traffic is non-existent. The feeling of privacy was tremendous. The home was very clean and well taken care of. The views from all the living area windows and the bedroom were stunning! The beach was about 25 yards down a small path (a little too narrow for a double stroller) and you are on miles of sandy beach that was never crowded. Our family was very impressed by the property and plan to stay again. |

Very nearly perfect! Seriously! A guest from Houston, Texas recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in August, 2012 This house was about everything you could ask for. The location is amazing! The beach was beautiful and mostly empty of other people. The house was very comfortable with one minor exception and that is ventilation. I'm sure in colder months this isn't an issue, but it would have been nice to have a few more windows we could open to cool things off and allow the breeze off the ocean, as well as the sound of the crashing waves, to come into the house. I think it is also worth a mention in the information about the house that there is a homemade child gate available fitted to the top of the stairs. We were happy to discover this on our own and that allowed us some peace of mind with our two year old running around the house. Those very minor issues aside, this loft is really a minor little paradise. Our only real regret is that we couldn't stay longer (a month would be nice). |

Do Everything -- Do Nothing: Fabulous for Both! Steven and Lucy S. from GAINESVILLE, texas recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in August, 2012 Bayshore was very helpful and always replied promptly with answers. The property could not have been better. It was so refreshing to see a vacation home appointed tastefully without seashell overkill. The only think we longed for was a dog! |

Perfect honeymoon! Tiffany M. from Paul, Idaho recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in June, 2012 We stayed 6 days in Driftwood Loft. Absolutely wonderful! The house is quiet, secluded and private. The beach is just a few steps away, and the views from the house are beautiful. The house is comfortable and relaxing. Walked on the beach every day and there were very few other people, most were off in the distance. Such a wonderful stay - did not want to leave! Can't wait to come back. |

Nice Anniversary Getaway Reviewed by: Thane L. recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in June, 2012 We enjoyed the Driftwood Loft, and being able to see the ocean from nearly every window. It was really neat to wake up and be looking out over the sea!! We just wish the front window would have opened so we could have heard the sea, as well. We enjoyed watching seals play in the surf, and saw a grey whale right in front of the house, just before sunset, the last night we were there. The sea was dancing in gold, with a deep aquamarine horizon, just as the whale surfaced...awesome sight! Unfortunately, we did experience a lot of fog nearly every day of our stay, but went just a little north or south, and we were in sunshine. We had several restful night's sleep, enjoying the quiet and privacy of the loft. Each morning, we woke to the sound of birds singing. We enjoyed several walks on the beach, and found a few beautiful agates. The tide pools at Seal Rock were well worth getting up at the break of dawn one morning to experience and explore. One of the main suggestions would be for a little step stool, as one of us is height challenged and had a difficult time getting in the very tall bed. Overall, very satisfied with our stay. Very restful time while at the loft. |

Mostly good with a few weird surprises that colored our stay A guest from Salem, OR does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in March, 2012 We appreciated the professionalism of Bayshore Rentals & the general condition & location of the property. Also the cleanliness. Pretty views, including from the bed, & fairly comfortable overall with nice decorating touches. The owners have done a nice job w/ a property that is a little odd (primary view faces north to the ocean rather than directly west, for example, and there are a couple of very large concrete pads that take away from the grass & dune-like natural surroundings; also very few windows that open or can be used-- one in the bedroom, two in the kitchen, one tiny window facing west that was not working, though there is a screen door facing west through which you can catch an ocean breeze). The bed was uncomfortably high for both of us, enough that I had to see a chiropractor when I distended my back/hip getting into it (I am a normal, healthy 5'4" 52-yr-old woman; my husband is 5'10"). Most bizarrely, there were occasional "worms w/legs" in freaky places (3), like the silverware drawer & crawling on the tile floors in the living areas when least expected. While these are odd circumstances that might not repeat themselves or bother other people, they colored my experience & outweighed the benefits of this property enough that we would probably not rent it again or recommend it to someone we know. Happy w/ Bayshore Rentals in general, though. My husband liked this property more than I did, but then he isn't the one who had to go to the chiropractor or reached in a drawer for a spoon to stir some coffee & found a worm stuck on the end of it. |

Seal Rock Paradise Dorinda N. from Victoria, Texas recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in September, 2011 The view from this house was picture perfect and the sound of the ocean lulled us to sleep each night. Except for passing about 6 people, we had the entire beach to ourselves. The house itself was immaculate and very tastfully furnished. The downside was that we had reservations for only two nights instead of an entire week. I would love to visit her again. |

Days of Peace and Space Lara M. from Seattle, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in September, 2011 We had a wonderful time - it was just what we needed: solitude; quiet; long hours spent on the beach playing, reading and running- we even ran 2 miles up the beach to observe the sea creatures at low tide. The views from the clean, open, light loft house were beautiful - some lovely sunsets. Especially loved being right on the beach to hear the sound of the surf and to spontaneously go to the beach without a lot of prep time. We had everything we needed and would've stayed longer if we could have. Thanks for the wine and cashews and for sharing your place. |

Quiet Sarah H. from Eugene, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in September, 2011 Property is very quiet and off the beaten path. There is access to the beach by way of a short hike. House was warm and clean. The two nights we were there were not long enough, felt like we just started to relax and had to pack for home. |

Driftwood Loft A guest from Denver, Colorado recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in August, 2011 Great Location. Delightful Stay. House comfotable and cozy with magnificent view. It would be nice if you have an up to date television (flat screen). Also adequate paper supplies were not available. Internet was not available. That's silly these days since it's readily available everywhere and probably a good idea as part of the rental. Thanks for the great stay. |

Amazing view! Great location! Romantic! Rebekah M. from Portland, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2010 This is a great little house. The most amazing thing about this property is the view and location. It is very secluded and private. Not a hint of traffic noise from Hwy 101 because it is very far off the highway. Private beach access and the stretch of beach that it is on is so beautiful. We stayed at the busiest time of year on the Oregon Coast, but this part of the beach was not very busy. Really great place to stay and perfect for couples who want a romantic getaway. |

Beautiful, Intimate Getaway A guest from Eugene, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in May, 2010 Location, location, location....well off 101, so there's not a hint of traffic noise...a beautiful 180 deg. view of the shore...next to a lightly-used state park, so no neighbors to the north, and little foot traffic on the beach. Amenities all new, well-laid out. It really is idyllic.....we'll be back! |
