Seabrook vacation A guest from Weaverville, NC does not recommend this property. Stayed for 5 days in May, 2013 We enjoyed our stay here but our vacation was not flawless. We had several complaints within the first two days. First, when we arrived, none of the dish soap, dishwasher soap, paper towels we were promised were there. So we got back in the car and went to the store and bought our own. None of the three bulbs in the hallway worked. I can understand one out, but all three? Second, there was a used towel and enough hair to make a wig on the back of the master bathroom door. Gross. There were things all around the place that were not cleaned to a high standard. The mattress felt well worn. The keyed entry to the deck doesn't work so if you want to leave the property with it fully locked you must leave the main entrance and walk around the building to go to the beach. Apparently the owner thinks it costs to much to repair is what management told me. I contacted management on Sunday night and Monday through email. It responded on Monday evening around five pm and the majority of the issues were resolved by Tuesday morning except for the deck door lock. On a brighter note, the sunset is amazing from the unit. Perfect!The beach is close and there are deer and dolphin everywhere you look. If you are someone who wants to get in the ocean this is probably not the unit for you. The water outside the unit is more the Edisto river than ocean. It doesn't look all that clean, there are crazy currents, and Portuguese man-o-war which wash up on the beach. The beach isn't incredibly wide either. We found the beach on the other side of the Seabrook Clubhouse to be much for suitable for swimming and beach lounging so we got in our car and drove 4 or 5 minutes up there. 1358 Pelican Watch A guest from New Lenox, IL does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in April, 2013 I repetedly had to fix the patio screen as it continued to fall off it's track; the entire patio door unit is in bad shape with peeling paint, no lock, and just a warped board serving as security. This unit also has a persistant musty smell. The stainless steel fridge door has stains on the outside giving it a dirty appearence. We did bring the condition and concern of the door and smell to the attention of Beachwalker upon our arrival and again later in the week. Off season don't expect much Katherine G. from , MI does not recommend this property. Stayed for 28 days in March, 2013 Property advertised as ocean view which is actually situated on the mouth of a river leading into the ocean with a view of another island. Watching the sun set on the Atlantic every night was mystifying. The golf course was extremely expensive for the lackluster views and poor greens conditions. The TV in the unit was small and had poor sound quality which was unfortunate due to the number of cold and rainy days we spent inside. As we rented for an entire month, we inquired about cleaning schedules and was informed that cleaning the unit during our stay was our responsibility which would have been ok if there had been anything to clean WITH. No mop, no vaccuum, no cleaning products. We could have stayed at a full-service hotel for the same price and had full maid service every day. The best amenity was the Lake House activities center and gym. We used it almost daily.
