Stroll thru surrounding Squares draped in spanish moss. Car not even necessary. The river is south, Forsyth Park & the local grocery store is north and all of historic Savannah's downtown shops, museums, parks, and restaurants surround the Estate. Originally built in 1870 & lovingly restored in 2001, the Estate is comprised of both the ol' Manor and it's former Carriage House (renamed Taylor Cottage). Spaciousness is redefined and you'll be hardpressed to find a more open and roomy floorplan than the Estate! The 2300 sq ftm 3 story Manor and 1200 sq ft, 2 story Cottage share the 4 car driveway but each offer their own furnished Courtyard and Kitchen/Living areas. So bring on groups large and small! All six bedrooms are themed...Rosebud Room, Civil War Room, Renaissance Room, Wicker Delight, Louisa May Alcott Attic, & the Sweet Bedroom Suite. The Courtyards of both are interconnected by the roomy 4 car Driveway that is in the rear of the Manor and adjacent to the Cottage. Enjoy Savannah nights in the Hot Tub on the bilevel Manor Deck surrounded by twinkle lights while chatting with others in your group as the Hot Tub overlooks the umbrella table/chairs and foliage filled patio below it. Faux French Doors that open to the Manor Courtyard and Hot Tub lead into the Huge "Cooks" kitchen of the Manor. Both Cottage and Manor kitchens are fully stocked. True to the 19th century, fireplaces abound.... Two decorative marble fireplaces on the first floor. 2 brick decorative fireplaces upstairs in the Rosebud and Civil War Bedrooms. Heart-pine flooring, high ceilings, superb bedding, fluffy towels, quality linens and all the modern day amenities you need in the 21st century are yours when you rent the Estate. While Central AC and Central heat are present in both homes, Savannah isn't Savannah without the joy of Ceiling fans in every living area & bedroom! The Estate abounds with these simple pleasures you won't find in other historic homes. In addition to the rare Huge kitchen, open floor plan, furnished courtyards/Hot Tub and private Driveway/Courtyards/Charcoal Grills...you have WiFi access/Cable/ Nintendo Game Cube/Board Games/VCR/DVD/Book collections to enjoy when you're not out sightseeing. So Relax outside in the furnished Courtyards surrounded by foliage and flowers grilling steaks or...soaking in the 6 ft long Claw tub or one of the 2 jetted luxuriating in the outdoor Hot Tub! All tubs are shower/tub combinations. The Estate is on a quiet residential Street in the landmark historic district, shaded by trees. M.M.Beasely park and its large grassy areas/fenced dog-run/baseball diamond/jogging track and playground are just across Broad Street. Trolley tour companies offer complimentary pickup or drop off at the Manor doorstep. Pet friendly (pre-approval req'd). Non-smoking interiors.(Smoking allowed on outside patios)Cottage is Senior/Handicap ready & accessible. Private balcony in Manor. Handsome furnishings throughout both homes mix Old World ambiance with modern-day convenience. ***Builders will appreciate the use of craftsman-style technique in the Cottage and the Manor kitchen counter made of >400 year old wood beams***. While a car/taxi is needed to get to/from airport and Tybee Beach is a short 20min drive, having a car is purely optional as you can walk to everything within the landmark historic district.
Perfect location to house your family on vacation, Scout Troop, Corporate or Church Retreat, Ladies Getaway, or Destination Wedding Party or Guests. Groups of 1 - 11 persons may wish to rent only the Manor rather than the entire Estate. Groups with six or fewer persons who don't wish for their own bedrooms may choose to rent the Carriage-House/Cottage only.
To sum it up....Taylor Estate is the quintessential alternative to a stuffy 400 sq ft hotel room and the best way to truly reconnect and relax with family and friends from near and far while giving yourselves a "real" taste of what southern Savannah-style living... is all about!

Regarding International reservations: They require 50% deposit at booking (Non-refundable) & all payments by credit card only (No money orders, No Cashiers Checks, No personal checks).
Regarding all reservations: VISA, MC, AMEX, DISCOVER accepted. Personal Checks may be used for balance payments ONLY..No money orders or cashiers checks accepted.
Separate refundable Security/Damage Deposit is additional. Hot Tub is an "optional" amenity and extra $ required if desired. Pet fee ($50.00/pet/home)with preapproval of breed/age required.
Regarding Domestic reservations: They require one nights accommodation to book (Nonrefundable) w/balance due 30 days before arrival. Longer stays may have larger booking fees applied.

Estate combines CH and Manor which are adjoined by the spacious driveway with CH on western edge and Manor on southern edge. Meandering between the arbor Manor courtyard entrance and the delightful rear entry/courtyard of Cottage/CH takes only steps. Yet the foliage and angled position of the two still allow each privacy when desired.
CH/Cottage is handicap-accessible and Senior Friendly.
Estate is hypoallergenic with wood floors, leather furnishings, marble and stone/tile flooring.

Policies: Estate (Manor and/or Carriage House) and its driveway and Courtyards are not to be used for parties or receptions but are for Residential Use Only. Rental of Estate for residential use by guests/families of brides/grooms and/or residential use by the wedding party itself is frequently done. Wedding & Reception Hall use is not allowed in Estate.
Requested use of Estate FOR THE ACTUAL CEREMONY AND RECEPTION are allowed for specific "Destination Wedding and Elopement Bookings and require hire of our associated wedding planner...Becky and James Bijois of An Affair to Remember...to ensure monitored/controlled use of all premises for day of ceremony. -RESTRICTIONS APPLY.
