Welcome to our circa 1802 Washington Square Colonial Townhouse overlooking one of the original squares in Hostess City Savannah. Twelve years prior to the construction of our "1802 Destination Wedding House" in 1790, Washington Square was the ninth square to be erected as the northeastern most square lying between twelve acre Trustees Garden and the western most portion of downtown Savannah.
Arguably Savannah's prettiest square, Washington Square was intended to honor a recently minted United States of America?s First President, George Washington. There were eventually 24 park-like garden squares built within each warren, with a still existing 22 squares. Washington Square is known as Savannah’s most beautiful square where many destination wedding ceremonies take place throughout the course of the year. Every Friday afternoon, local residents gather in a private section with their cock tails in hand to visit with their neighbors.
The perfect solution for fabulous wedding activities, elegant girl-friend getaways, and memorable family reunions, this 3300+ square foot colonial has room to spare for eight guests in roomy comfort. Featuring three bedrooms, 2.5 baths, a modern kitchen with formal dining and living rooms, the beautiful heart pine floors, four fireplaces, and private courtyard speak are consistent with the slow moving theme the locals have to refer to as ?Savannah Time?.
