Comfort, Warmth and Relaxation! Goal achieved! Diane & Ricke G from Allison Park, PA (Pittsburgh), Stayed for 0 days in September, 2012 The title of this review states it all! From the moment of arrival to that disappointing last step out of the door to return home, Laura's Cottage was like a big hug. The owners of this property see to it that you have everything that you need for a relaxing stay. Muffins, Orange Juice, Yogurt, Coffee etc. The cottage in itself is unique. You can enjoy the throw back to the early 1800's while enjoying today's comfort. You realize how special of a place this is when the tour buses and horse drawn carriages slow down to point the cottage out to the touring visitors. It is really cool when you are on a tour and it stops to point out the cottage that you are staying in. Of course you will let it be known to the others on the tour that you are staying there. Within walking distance of just about everything, who can complain. Park the car and you may not need to drive for the entire duration of your stay. Get ready to put on a few pounds...Leopold's Ice Cream is directly around the corner. Highly suggest the Old Fashion Tutti-Fruity. Unfortunately we found that the highly sought after restaurants such as, "Mrs. Wilkes" and Paula Dean's Restaurant to be very disappointing. The fame along with the catering to the masses has taken it's toll on the quality of food as well as the excitement of the visit. Seek out "The Pink House". They are not taking advantage of the tourists, the quality of food and service remains top notch. To reiterate, if you are seeking relaxation, warmth and comfort, Laura's Cottage will not disappoint. We did not encounter any strange occurrences, no change left on the porch and no flickering lights. Although, we took a moment to introduced ourself to Laura to help head off possible hauntings. "enjoy!" |

This is our kind of place! Country Gurl from Bean Station, TN, Stayed for 0 days in January, 2012 We booked Laura's cottage for our anniversary after staying there on our honeymoon five years earlier. Absolutely love it! The cottage is perfect and suited us to a "T". The location made it convenient to walk everywhere we went. The cottage was well stocked with everything we needed. We will definitely stay here again. Hopefully, we won't have to wait another 5 years! |

We spent our days walking to shops and restaurants and exploring the historic district and scad. Highly recommended! |

Wonderful, rustic setting in the heart of a gorgeous historic ci goodtimesfella from toronto, Stayed for 0 days in March, 2011 My wife, baby, and I recently spent a week at Laura's Cottage. It is a beautiful setting in the heart of old town Savannah. It's a very short walk to everything you could want to see, and that is precisely what we did for most of our stay. The cottage has all the comforts you could want, including a fully functioning kitchen, washer/dryer, very comfy bed with balcony on the upper level, and a a lovely decor reminiscent of the period the cottage was built - a very long time ago. Owners Vicki and Greg who live next door are very kind and made us feel welcomed upon arrival. They even entertained us with cocktails in their lovely backyard. I would highly recommend staying at Laura's Cottage with two significant provisos: First, it is an old and very rustic cottage. If you seek modern accommodations then this is not for you. Second, there's no question that you will be sharing the Cottage with an unseen host who will very likely make its (her, I understand) presence known to you. We knew going in that the Cottage is reputed to be haunted, and the spirit who lingers there did not disappoint. We had a long list of things take place that convinced us (starting the first day), but none of those experiences involved any sense of menace. Mischief is how I'd describe it, mixed with the odd kind gesture. She helped me find a phone I hadn't seen in six months and figured was long since lost. Think that's about all I have to say. Great place, great hosts, great city, and lots of great tales to share with friends who don't believe in ghosts. Enjoy your stay. Hope you get more sleep than we did. |

Step Back in Time at Laura's Cottage Antiqlvr from Toms River, Stayed for 0 days in September, 2010 We really enjoyed our stay at Laura's Cottage. It is on a quiet, residential street in the Historic District of Savannah within walking distance of all the major activities. The Owner is very pleasant and the cottage was spotlessly clean. Off-street parking is available behind the cottage and since everything is within walking distance, we didn't have to move the car once. We would definitely like to stay again at another time. |

A Real Piece of Savannah History Susan and Maxine from Austin, Texas, Stayed for 0 days in June, 2010 My mom and I drove from Houston, Texas to Savannah rather on a whim. Having stayed in a 'home' on previous trips, we decided to forgo the traditional hotel and stay here. We could not have enjoyed it more. The house was the perfect blend of history--literally and creature comforts. The location allowed us to walk nearly everywhere, even in the heat, which gave us a real feel for the historic district. Savannah is a fabulous town and this house is part of that. We couldn't have asked for a place to make us feel more at home than the cottage. |

Great place to stay in Savannah Gert from Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Stayed for 0 days in April, 2010 My friends and I loved Laura's Cottage! The location is wonderful and we liked the off-street parking. Didn't have any 'paranormal' experiences...guess we were glad! We did enjoy the nightly ghost tour patrons outside. Everything about the cottage was great, but it would have been nice to have a t.v. downstairs. As it was, we didn't watch t.v. that much--too many other great things in Savannah. We would definitely go back. |

a must-stay in Savannah dianetboyer from tampa fl, Stayed for 0 days in February, 2010 Laura's Cottage is the perfect hideaway for a visit to Savannah -- right in the middle of the historic downtown district and in walking distance of pretty much everything. We rented the cottage in part due to it's haunted reputation and we weren't dissapointed. We had a few "unusual" experiences, although nothing too frightening. Just enough to keep things interesting. When I got back home and uploaded my pictures of the interior of the cottage, I was amazed to find two photos of the loft containing ghostly orbs. One distinct white circular orb above the chair on the right of the loft wall and another with a neon "apostrophe" in the corner with the TV. That particular corner of the loft was also very noisy at night -- repetitive knocking, soft creakings. All in all, a great experience and a place I'd recommend to anyone visiting Savannah!! |

My daughter and I had a wonderful time. Pat Kibble from Chattanooga, Tennessee, Stayed for 0 days in June, 2009 This trip to Savannah was part of my daughter's college graduation present. We stayed at Laura's Cottage because we read it was haunted. We didn't provke any "spooks" but had a great time. We did sleep with one eye open the first night. It was delightful. And we highly recommend it to anyone looking for something different. It was money well spent. |

Convenient and charming zeezonker from Auburn, Indiana, Stayed for 0 days in February, 2009 This was a charming home built in 1791. It was convenient for walking the historic area of Savannah. The kitchen had all the supplies needed for our month's stay. However, a very small dining table, no comfortable chairs or TV downstairs forced us to live upstairs. We did so by moving 2 chairs and a side table. The TV did have cable, but basic news channels like CNN, Headline News, or MSNBC were unavailable. We were comfortable but felt for the cost of our month's stay we did lack amenities. |

Laura's Lovely Cottage Dave & Bridgette from Calgary AB Canada / Atlanta GA, Stayed for 0 days in January, 2009 Laura's Cottage is the best location, to experience Savannah for a week. It was a perfect space for two. The Tours around the Historic District were educational and fun. The museums are all very close by. Great food, great window shopping along the River & City market, a short walk away. Nitelife was good times. Southern Hospitality was abundant. Bridgette and I wish ourselves back to Laura's cottage frequently. I'm certain, one day we will return to rent it again. Great Experience. Dave & Bridgette |

FANTASTIC SAVANNAH RENTAL PROPERTY Reviewed by: Diane Stayed for 0 days in September, 2008 We rented this cottage through Savannah Getaways and were extremely impressed! I thought due to the historic district and age of the property, it wouldn't be quite as modern as it was. It exceeded all our expectatons in every way. The bed, TV w/ VCR, plush bathroom rugs & towels, fully equipped kitchen, were better than I've had at most hotels! And the antiques, reading material, and game made it a very memorable trip indeed. Location was perfect & I'd highly recommend this rental to anyone vacationing in Savannah. Most sincerely, Diane Yancey, 202 President's Walk Lane Cary, NC 27519 diane.yancey@yahoo.com |

The smell on our first morning was really bad only lasted about 1hr but we read in the guest that other people also had the same experience. I also felt a poke when I was in the shower I thought it was my friend but she was outside. I belive it was all very friendly and I would stay there again as it was clean and beautiful. |
