Location OK; house not fully equipped; management so-so A guest from Brentwood, TN does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in March, 2013 This is a beautiful home, but you can tell it's not been lived in -- little to no drawer space (lived out of our suitcases all week) and temporary curtains. As far as managment -- definitely more of a business than a service. Lots of extraneous small costs (4 bikes are advertised as part of the property but they're not "guaranteed" -- sure enough, only 1 was working when we arrived, and we were told that if we needed more then we needed to rent them ourselves). We also had to pay extra for beach access cards (these have always been included in other rentals). The managment company also does not accept credit cards, misplaced our initial deposit checks, and couldn't find a fax that we sent (I got the feeling that they have a VERY small office and are only in the office sporadically). Additionally, although the home was supposed to sleep 14, one of the trundle beds was missing upon arrival -- when we called to inquire, we were told that it had been missing for months. After insisting that we needed it, the mgmt company agreed to provide a roll away bed, but it seemed like something that should have been addressed before we arrived (especially since it had been "missing for months"). Grambergs 2012 Mary M. from Webster Grove, MO does not recommend this property. Stayed for 5 days in December, 2012 We have stayed in Watercolor & Seaside approximately 20 times over the past 14 years. This property, Grambergs, was by far the most disappointing home we have ever was not very clean! 2 of the 5 toilets had black mold rings. I cleaned 1 for us to use. The bathtub was dirty, some blankets on the beds smelled moldy, and we saw 2 cockroaches..just to name a few. 2 bikes had flat tires. I emailed and they said someone would be out, didn't happen. I would not rent through this company again. First, bad review we've ever given!! I felt it was that bad and someone should know about it for future rentals. Beautiful home with lots of space! A guest from Houston, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2012 This home was great for my family and three other families we vacationed with. Three bedrooms with private baths and one without are on the ground floor and another bedroom (double bed and no closet) is upstairs with a full bathroom across the kitchen. The third floor loft has plenty of room for the kids with a half bath. A beautiful, large kitchen has everything needed to prepare gourmet meals. The bathrooms could use some hooks for towels, robes, and swimsuits. Drawer space in each bedroom would be nice as well. Overall, it was a wonderful stay! Great House; Needs TLC A guest from Plano, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in June, 2012 We loved the house and porches, but for such a nice house you expect to see permanent window treatments that actually work and you expect a clean house for the cleaning fee paid - no cobwebs, food on chairs and walls, major dust,and lightbulbs that need to be replaced. You would like to see fans on the great porches as well for those still nights. Without window treatments and rugs the house is VERY loud and there is NO (repeat NO) form of storage in the bedrooms which means you are living out of your suitcase for the week- not fun. The house is nicely appointed but we were surprised by the lack of proper cleaning supplies, soap dishes etc. Also, with such limited towel supply it requires you to run the washer/dryer constantly, which may be fine, but it will shorten the life of the units. We had a great time and the house is lovely and well located, but just needs a little more TLC and care to improve a person's overall stay. Permanent, adjustable window treatments and storage being truly the key, which could be done at a low cost. Almost perfect A guest from Houston, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in May, 2012 It's actually closer to Watercolor beach by bicycle from this house than most other homes in Watercolor. Speaking of bikes, at least four were furnished by the other four homes that we have stayed in. Not this time. At first we were told they were not included then we were given a code for the lock that did not work. The house is great from a space and bedding standpoint. It could use some darker shades for those that don't want the sun to pour in at 6:30. We could not get the front and rear door locks to work from the inside; but there's really no need to lock the doors anyway in Watercolor. The house could also use some drawers in the bedrooms.
